Long story short, Putin is a psychotic megalomaniac who dreams of restoring the USSR and has finally lost his marbles.
Russia has gone rogue, ignored its diplomatic obligations, invaded a neighboring country and is openly threatening the rest of the world with nuclear warfare.

War what else? Russia about to take over Ukraine after so many years of not doing so. And USA are gonna coward out there legal contract to protect them.

Things have been going south since 2014 when US/CIA carried out a coup in Ukraine to install a pro US president. With the backing of the US, the new president at the time, shut down media outlets that were coitizing him and preceded to jail leaders from the opposition party. What's escalating things further, is the US and its NATO allies broke their promise to Russia that NATO would not expand east ward which is what they're doing by trying to make Ukraine a NATO member.
