Do eastern europeans generally like non-white people?

As a black woman I can say that I have experienced a disproportionate amount of overt racsim and discrimination from eastern European peoples.

In university, my boyfirend was Ukrainian and we were really close but he wouldn't introduce me to his family because I was black.

My neighbour is Polish and honestly she is a sweetheart but I noticed that when her family from Poland comes to visit she will pretend not to see me when she would otherwise say hi and introduce me to any friends she has by.

Once I went to buy a snack at a Ukrainian shop and the lady scowled at me in disgust and started badmouthing me to her colleague. And this didn't happen in the Ukraine.

I have stories about similar behaviour with Croatians, Serbians and Yugoslavians. So from my experience I think that they are generally pretty racist people.

@DermalPunch Are there racists in England? Absolutely. But they're roundly condemned by their right-thinking countrymen. In Eastern Europe racism is just part of the culture.

Yes, I agree. My aunt lived in England for manybuears and even those Brits whonwould roundly condemn racism still had some supremacy with them. It comes out in little subtle digs even. I will say this however. One of my mom's best friends is from Kent and she is seriously doesn't have a racist bone in her body. She is one of the only people I can say this about white or black.

I also remember an epispde of Absolutely Fabulous when the mom was pissed she was going to be a grandma. Then she finds out the baby is half black and it cuts to this montage of her walking around withbher mixed race grandchild saying whatsup to Rasta men and feeling all nice withbher balck grandchild. It was HILARIOUS but so true. British women love having their curly haired caramel babies.
