It's more a case of what he *hasn't* done. If you think things are bad now, they'd be a whole lot worse if Trump were president, which is why Biden's one job was to beat Trump.
If the Dems wanted someone who would actually *do* something, they would have nominated Sanders, but they were rightly afraid that the GOP and right-wing media would have painted him as some kind of Communist extremist, and put off enough moderate voters for him to lose the election.
