The concept of American Democracy is inherently flawed anyway. The notion that "right" and "wrong" are something you can put to popular vote is a complete farce and a fraud. Evil people vote for evil laws. If the majority of people are evil they vote to legalize things the Founding Fathers never would have legalized, such as LGBTQ marriage, and they likewise vote to ban things, such as the Ten Commandments, which the founding Fathers considered essential to a moral government.

The Declaration of Independence states that true rights and true laws come from the Creator, not mankind. Moreover, you are endowed with those rights, Namely "life" from the moment of your Creation, and therefore Abortion is banned by the Declaration fo Independence.

The entire Democratic strategy for the last couple decades or so has been to convince everyone that they fall into victim label groups (aka identity politics) and that the only way to solve the "problem" is to give themselves more power. Back in the day, the Democrat party represented the middle. However, today things have changed significantly. Democrats harvest votes by pushing a single basic message, "You are a victim. Vote for us and we will make it ALL better." Their agenda is continuing to cause extreme damage to the country and falling flat on its face.

Republicans were the party of big business. However, today they are the conservative voice in the country. They are pushing to correct and repair the damage done to the country by many of the Democrat policies and agendas.

Other than their talk, there is very little difference between democrats and republicans. They talk a different talk but they vote alike. Most politicians tell people what they want to hear to get their vote. Now to get elected, a politician needs money. They don't get money from little people but they get money from extreme wealthy.
