I'm mixed/biracial. My mother is white and from the US (West Virginia to be specific). My father is Asian and from here in Japan (Shizuoka).

On top of being mixed, I grew up having to travel to new places all the time and constantly being the new kid in school. So I used to get confused about how to answer questions like, "Where are you from?" which I got a lot with my odd mixed looks since I didn't really think of any one country as my home. I usually just say, "Japan" these days since that's where I was born and spent my earliest childhood.
