I don't know why people think he still does things for money- he has all the money he'll ever need. Once you become a billionaire the pursuit of money is just redundant- power becomes attractive.
It's fairly obvious that he wants political influence, but whether or not he runs in 2024 doesn't matter to this end.

  I look at evidence. Trump charging the secret service for their rooms at trump tower. Trump forcing the WH to pay maralago for his parties, etc.
