Well, they don’t. First of all, the market value of their assets under their control is 10 trillion, which is nothing even remotely close to “everything”. Secondly, they are an asset manager with a legal mandate from clients to invest their clients money. While they formally buy and sell financial assets, their clients have a legal claim on their revenue generated. As such, BlackRock is severely restricted with what it can do with these assets

Lol BlackRock and Vanguard are the top two money managers. They manage trillions in investor assets but it’s quite a stretch to say either one owns everything or that even both combined own controlling interests. BlackRock’s funds (pools of investor money) hold positions in several companies worldwide but doesn’t own everything.

Check their financial positions in their investor funds. They’re public records. The YouTuber is full of it and knows nothing about investments.
