Is this a legitimate company?

I'm in debt and I've been passed to a DRS company that collects for Klarna. When I Googled the number, it is all negative. The website looks outdated.

I asked in the Klarna chat but they didn't say which company would be taking over the case. All they said they would contact me via email.

What do I do, please? Im very stressed and tired. I don't wanna get scammed, please help :(

As always with any debt, request that they show complete proof of said debt. If they can't do that, they have no case.

Original documents. Proof they took it over. So on. They can not enforce the debt without it and are obligated to share these things if asked. If they can not or will not, no court would support their claim. Which is good for you!

As for telling if the company is legit.. how could we? We have no link, name, or anything else to go on. Klarna exists and is legit. Doesn't mean there can't be fake Klarna websites or that they are absolved from proving debt.

Just respond and ask for proof. They normally have about 30 days to comply. May differ where you are. You of course can not be expected to pay while waiting for proof. So relax, stop worrying. Debt is very normal and not very scary when you understand it.

Collection agencies are deliberately secretive. It's probably legit; but wait for the email.

Klarna as far as I know is suspect in and of itself let alone what lackeys it uses to collect it's vigs and principles
