I once saw someone say "to preserve democracy we need more content moderation and censorship not less" sounds like fascism doesn't it?

To me someone saying we need more content moderation and censorship, to keep democracy, is the same as them saying "let me control the narrative so that you vote how I want you to vote" which to me screams fascism.
