If censorship has historically been wrongfully used by those who thought they were right, how can you be sure censorship of today is okay?

The government censoring free speech is always wrong. A private company censoring its employees or denying service to customers is not censorship.

Private companies pay for bad business decisions by going out of business. If you don't like a particular company, don't buy their products or use their services.

You know, you and I already had this exact discussion where we both completely agreed that governmental censorship is wrong and private-company censorship is rightful (though still immotal, in my opinion)? So why are you suggesting I'm ignorant? Did you forget this discussion of ours?

You know this forum. Every time that question is asked here, the conversation ultimately turns to discussion about what a private company can do with respect to its own rules and policies. I think we have folks posting about their questions and posts being "censored" at GaG at least twice a week.

Large portions of the country would agree with one of those, but not the other. So, if we must use censorship, which portion of the country gets to choose?
