Should we hold Russian people who support Putin accountable?

This is like back in WW2 the people who supported Hitler and his war effort. They came from all walks of life and countries. From Stalin to Putin russia was taking a step forward but it would seem that Putin has taken Russia back into the stone age on the international stage. It's people who travel from there should be treated accordingly. I don't like Russian's and to be honest if you come from Russia for a better way of life because of Putin then I would not even call my self Russian even if you came from there. The Russia you knew is dead and as such those who claim to be Russian are Putin supporters.

Generally I think yes. Supporters of Putin should be held accountable. By most measures the majority of Russians support Putin. Yes most do not know the reality of what is happening due to mass propaganda but ignorance is not an excuse. I think most Russians are being held accountable with sanctions that will eventually cripple their country. Years from now when Russians learn the truth like Germans after WW2 there will be collective shame for their support of Putin.

accountable as in what? This sounds eerily similar to how the "left" tried to hold people that supported Donald Trump "accountable" by normalizing violence against them. No, I don't think people should be beat up/killed, forced out of a job, lose their homes, or harassed daily for their beliefs. Doing so, makes you no better than the people you claim to be against.
