Especially if he kills the Ukraine President. Time for a trial. If he ever leaves office there will be a noose waiting for him.

Yeah. Would be awesome if he then flipped on all the GOP who aided him. Maybe even ratted our those in the US conservative media who tried to help weaken our response by simply calling it weak, instead of acknowledging it has probably been the most shockingly robust, mature, and coordinated response imaginable, short of boots on the ground. The US has the whole world marching to our beat, and this is barely over a year after republicans had a full term to try to destroy NATO entirely.

But maybe I'm being too harsh. I forget that sometimes I'm alone in being absolutely unforgiving. Republicans have simultaneously insisted that Putin's attack is a nothingburger, that Biden isn't doing enough, that Trumps response would have been perfect, and that Putin is a genius. Maybe the mixed message on something so real will be what finally pushes loyal Republican voters to consider the possibility that they are being elaborately lied to and used for age old mediocre money - a tale as old as time. Not going to hold my breath, though..

As far as I have been able to ascertain, Russia was under no kind of threat whatsoever, from Ukraine, nato, or any country. His excuse for invading, the protection of Russian speaking separatists in East Ukraine, was obviously false because he sent his forces through these areas and invaded the whole country. If he had proposed referenda in those areas asking the population if they wanted independence, then their majority decision should have been accepted by all sides. I just can’t understand why citizens of every country can’t be allowed to be governed by people if their own choice, and live their lives in the manner of their own choosing. Putin is literally murdering the innocent population of an independent country, and even the people of Russia are appalled by his actions. The Russian soldiers who are carrying out this slaughter must have tears in their eyes when they pull their triggers. With any luck their military commanders will carry out a coup and depose their criminal leader.

I think the Bush administration should be put on trial for 911 and shock and awe in Iraq. Obama and Killary should be put on trial for turning Libya, the most prosperous country in Africa with a higher standard of living than the U. S., into Mad Max land and for illegally bombing 7 countries.

Putin deserves a medal for preventing the U. S. from turning Syria into another Libya. And he is doing what he has to do in Ukraine. The Biden administration rejected every attempt by Russia to diffuse the situation.

How many times has the U. S. provoked countries and then called them aggressors when the defend themselves. It's both ironic and hypocritical.

Uh huh. And who exactly is going to drag him to stand trial for that? "War crimes" are essentially little more than an excuse to punish the losers in a war. Russia has committed a virtually endless list of "human rights violations" and "war crimes" for the last century with exactly zero repercussions, and that has largely been the case for everyone since World War 2. The closest thing to "justice in a court of law" he would ever plausibly face would be if he were deposed in Russia, and put on trial in Russia by Russians.

Should he? Yes. The reality with all war crimes, Victor sets the pace on war crimes. It truly won't matter. Same thing happened in Vietnam with white phosphorus with these made up rules never really surmoununding to anything.

War crimes only matter if people care and people honestly don't untill all the turmoil is all said and done for the losers. The victory party gets a slap on the wrist and the losers get hung.

Forbidden thermobaric missiles and cluster bombs are shot into residential areas. Even russian soldiers say they dont want to kill civilians, all they thought was they were deployed for an exercice.
