Imagine not being able to feel the same connection to your body as the rest of us. I really don't really see what's wrong with identifying as the gender you weren't assigned at birth. Gender dysphoria is a condition! Trans people aren't just saying "oh yeah I'm a girl now haha" because they want to! It's how they identify and plenty of transgender folks have gone through internalized transphobia.
What's wrong with respecting someone who doesn't identify with the sex they were assigned at birth? By wanting the same rights do you mean having the same protections as other people? Being able to freely express themselves in public just like anyone? EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BE RESPECTED !!! 🏳️⚧️⚧️🌈
Wanting the world to change for the better and to be more accepting isn't wrong or pushy. Besides, most changes that the lgbtqia+ community is asking for, isn't actually going to affect you! Someone else's sexuality or gender identity doesn't affect you at all! Asking to not be shunned and shamed for something they can't change is all we're asking. Raising awareness about the issues we as a community face, isn't "liberal cray-cray propaganda 🤪".

I believe everyone has the right to be respected, but demanding for it is just wrong. Respect must be earned, not demanded and it takes a lot to own it. When we go out of the norm, or something that is disapproved by the society, we are to be prepared of the judgment which is something that they are not ready to deal with it seems.
I think everyone should have "basic human rights" respect, in the "I'm not going to physically hurt you or attack you" sense. But beyond that, no, you aren't entitled to extra respect just because you believe you are a woman, a man, "non-binary," a duck, or whatever. The same applies to most people though; respect beyond basic human respect is earned, not given.
I won't give "less respect" to a person just because they are trans, regardless how I personally feel about the LGBT Community and its agenda (we can't assume they are all as crazy as the ones we hear on social media). But I definitely won't give MORE respect to someone just for being LGBT, either. And if they're an entitled asshat (like many of them are ("respect my pronouns or you're a bigot and transphobe!"), then they get negative respect from me: Intentional disrespect.
That is all I have to say on it.
I’m all for treating trans with the same respect as other people, but they demand extra rights and that isn’t gunna fly. If they wanna mutilate their bodies and pretend to be the opposite sex then whatever, but don’t go thinking that just because you larp as a girl that society is gunna treat you like one. That is demanding extra rights. I’ll call you what you look like, unless you specifically ask me otherwise POLITELY in which case I’ll make an effort to use your pronouns, but don’t get mad at me for calling a dude a dude. These people are mentally unstable, the last thing I wanna do is make them more uncomfortable, but they have put themselves in a situation where discomfort is a natural consequence

Today's society is genuinely fucked up. There was a Netflix show that I saw on some social media post called "He's Expecting" that was literally news just yesterday. It's about a man being pregnant. And this was a response to Apple releasing the pregnant man emoji. I hate all this inclusivity, lgbt, feminism, cancel culture crap that's going on today. It's promoting a society of beta men and entitled women.
We only 'hear' those who deserve little or no respect.
I'm sure that there are many among them who just live a silent life - being themselves (or what they believe to be themself).
Also: what IS respect actually? In my eyes ''special attention'' is NOT a display of respect. They should be respected just like any other person. It means not treating them differently from other people just because of their sexuality. If you go out of your way to be mean or an asshole to a transgender person (I mean you in general) then you're being transphobic.
I try not to respect anyone more than is necessary.
As an interesting side note, the fall of Rome had a lot of gender issue debate and confusion also. It might just be a societal death thro along with declining birth rates, decreasing social mobility and job availablity.
Basically it's just a symptom of society going insane. They get respect simply for being human, just like everyone else.
Ill respect those who deserve it.. I couldn't care less about whether or not they are trans.
You mean you disagree that they shouldn't have the same respect you give a "normal" person on the street...
I think transgender people should be respected until such time as they prove themselves unworthy of respect.
I think most of then mean the BASIC human respect that most people deserve.
They should be respected just as everyone should be respected. "Pushing their sexuality too far!" How?
You shouldn't respect or disrespect a person on the basis of them being trans. You should respect them on the basis of them being respectable.
People, humans, should be respectable. Fraud and perversion are hardly respectable qualities.
Everyone who isn’t an evil or bad person deserves respect
Pretty sure they're talking about Basic human respect
They should be treated the same and have the same rights as everyone else
Your transphobia is showing...
Because they're human beings just like you.
Should you be respected?
Shouldn't all people be respected
