I, for one, am cheering it on- and wondering what took you people so long- but many are probably panicking. Good, frankly. A little exposure to reality will do them good.

It'll make them confront the damage that they did, but bluntly, that's all to the good, too. The cognitive dissonance will be DEAFENING, but hopefully at least some of them will have the intellectual integrity to realize they were wrong and apologize. I have no delusions that a one-party conservative country will be any better than a one-party liberal one; we need dissenting ideas and dissenting people to be a regular, accepted part of our everyday political life.

If we lose that, democracy is dead, no matter what else you do.
