Going back to normal isn't about the Chinese virus. It's all about politics and control. I've seen many stories about liberal governors and mayors who have been busted breaking their own Covid rules.
Pelosi snuck off to the salon when they were off limits to everyone else. (above) Lori Lightfoot, AKA Beetlejuice did the very same thing. Her excuse was that she needed to look good for the public. (I hope she got a refund) Muriel Bowser snuck off to a jazz club for her birthday party. No one was wearing the mandated masks. Her excuse was that she was drinking and wanted to dance.London Breed also snuck off to a dance club after imposing the most strict mask mandates in the country. No masks at that party.
The day before the state of the union address, Joe was seen outdoors with his dog muzzle on. (We all know how necessary those are outdoors. Especially when there's a camera on you.)
The very next day something very magical happened. The masks were gone. Social distancing was gone.
Hugging was OK again. What do you supposed happened in 24 hours, that changed all the rules? Who in their right mind thinks any of this is real?
The only way we will go back to normal is if the Republicans take back the house and senate this November.

No! What's done is done. It's not just Covid, it's how the United States has been destroyed be the Biden administration. It's almost unrecognizable now and nothing like it was when President Trump was our President. America won't ever be what it once was because there are so many bad players destroying it in every way, including the judicial system. Criminals are now the victim's. Nothing is going right anymore. America and a big heap of garbage. With the influx of illegals in the millions it's rare for me to see a white person where I live. I hope come November the Republicans win back the House and the Senate. That might help a little bit. This is a tragic nightmare for Americans that were born and raised in America like myself. We are the minority it seems.
What's wrong with your home area not being over-run by endless strings of tourist busses?
What's wrong when on my favourite beach nearby there's some sand to be seen?
What's wrong when you queue up at the counter and no one's pressing against your underwear?
etc...
''... the way living used to be...'' -> what if some Roman Emperor would have had the same idea? :D
The fact that humanity ''evolves'' has gotten us to where we are now. The process is not yet finished, though.
I do. The mid terms are approaching and a lot of that shyt that depresses us every day will begin to disappear. Then, when Trump or DeSantis wins in 2024 will, that hopefully, hammer the spike. If you are a lefty, you have no hope. But if you are really are 70, you are conservative anyway.

I think we are on the edge of going back to what we considered normal where we live in the southwest part of the United States. I have become more cognizant of my health, as well as as my children. I will still put a mask on if one of my kids isn’t feeling so well so that I don’t potentially spread whatever garbage they’re carrying around to others in public.
Beyond that, I’ve noticed a whole lot more fist bumps rather than handshakes, which I know irritates my husband.
What I think it’s gonna be hard to confront in the United States, is dealing with some of the thought processes that were fostered by dueling political parties because of their responses to Covid.Doesn't seem like it, older people are retiring and I hear and see soo many younger people my age claim they can't find a job in the best job market ever.
They have a lot of silly job requirements like, I don't want to deal with people. I want 20 bucks and hour, I don't want to work weekends.
Then say there is no jobs there, leaving many positions open and unfilled.
They must simply be living at home with parents still, cause I have no clue how they manage to live without working.
In order to get back to normal people need to get hired, open positions filled so companies can ramp up production and get the supply chain issues resolved.Yea if you stop watching the news. I pretty much never watched the news and was already using germex like crazy and years back even wore creative masks on/off when at a skatepark. So the only thing that really changed for me with the pandemic is just being nervous about flying
No way, man. This is the new normal. We might get back to something quasi-sort of similar in 15-20 years, but for society at large, 2019 is the high water mark.
Life will only go downhill for the rest of our lives. I would say it's certainly true for the Western world and probably true for the East as well.No we have changed too much and lost so many. We won't ever be the same. We have suffered, learned and grown. we take what we can from these experiences and we rebuild. Perhaps it can become similar to once before but it might never be quite the same. However I feel we will be stronger for it.
Not until people stop being fucking tools and start actually standing on moral principles. If you got vaccinated, if you wore your mask, if you bought into this fucking nonsense and were willing to stand for the discrimination and unfair treatment of those who stood against this, YOU ARE OUR SLAVERY, IT’S YOU, LOOK IN THE FKING MIRROR AND SEE THE PROBLEM
Eventually.
It took years before Europe went back to normal from the black plague.
It's a slow work in progressWe WOULD be, by now, if Biden hadn't cheated and kept Trump from his rightful 2nd term!!
Yes but it will take leaders like Gov. DeSantis and President Trump to get us back there.
Nope, they going to stretch this out for everything they can.
It probably won't happen right away it's going too take time to get back to what was normal.
Not everyone wants to, and no, I don't think that's going to happen.
I don’t see a lot of change honestly. But I vaxxed and don’t piss my pants over wearing masks.
we already did where I live
I never quite stopped.
I've been back that way for years. Haven't you?
Yes I do.
To be perfectly honest know I don't
I hope so, but don't think so.
Eventually but might take time
