+1 yI am not a feminist, I'm a equalist instead, but I do care a great deal about sexual violence prevention. Of course where I live in rural America there isn't really many people here, so hard to have a club when your in small towns.

That's understandable. I live in a major city so clubs and activities are pretty accessible. SV and feminism are too important things to me, so that's just why I glommed them in the same question. :)
- +1 y
Yeah me too, and seems like so many people just don't want to hear it.

+1 yI am not a feminist. I do not focus mainly on women. I rather have unbiased judgement about men, women and children, and care about their issues.
You can't focus on only one gender, WITHOUT doing so on behalf of the other.113 Reply- +1 y
Alr... I mean tbh I'm someone who cares strongly about women's rights. If you look back at the suffragettes, that definitely wasn't an issue about men. Or look at abortion laws that are being passed in the US. They're not actually pro-life they're purely pro-birth and anti-woman because they're doing nothing to help protect the childhood of those babies.
Sexual violence is definitely something that men, women, and children are hurt by though. - +1 y
I am not from the US. and this is not an American site either.
And yeah, find me a woman which was fired over an allegation of abuse towards a man. But the opposite has happened (looking at the Depp-Heard case).
In the end of the day, you will follow your ideologies and care about said group of people, while hating anyone else, including me. And let us be real over here, you don't do it for other women, you do it for yourself. You don't give a damn for foreign or/and Muslim women, African women, so on. - +1 y
P. S. I know you disliked my comment and unfollowed me. You really thought i wouldn't notice? :D

Huh. The two examples I gave were American-based simply because I live in America. I don't know why you would assume that I only care about women in the western world. If you want non-American based ones, sorry, but I can pull those out of my hat too. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, an amazing writer and powerful modern-day feminist, has dealt with sexism that to someone from the West, sounds surreal! When she told her male friend she was a feminist, he told her that she was wrong and feminists don't exist and she should change her views. In Africa (I believe Kenya, Egypt and Syria.. correct me if I'm wrong), there are villages popping up that are women-only (though some of them allow men). These strong women do this to protect themselves from the disgusting expectations placed on them from birth. From genital mutilation to being expected to marry a man they didn't want from childhood while he had many wives and they weren't allowed to even interact with other men. You can also look at human trafficking and brothels which kidnap women and turn them into sex slaves for profit. Women's rights are an international issue. So thank you for raising the point <3
One in six men have experienced attempted or completed sexual assault. It's heartbreaking but true. Due to masculine expectations, men who are sexually assaulted either by other men, or women, often are incredibly scared to come forward. Many victims of sexual assault are afraid to come forward due to societal pressures and fear of backlash. And unfortunately, when they do come forward, they're often told they're lying or blamed for what happened. - +1 y
"When she told her male friend she was a feminist, he told her that she was wrong and feminists don't exist and she should change her views."
And i am supposed to do what, about personal argue between two people i don't know and i never will?
"there are villages popping up that are women-only (though some of them allow men). These strong women do this to protect themselves from the disgusting expectations placed on them from birth"
Sounds like a pretty sexist environment, in which i would not live. I may visit it, out of curiosity, but that's it. Let's not forget, that this is just one side of the story, that has been presented to you , and you bought it. You and i are not there, and we can't know for sure.
But i can tell you other side of the story, like: toxic feminists. Which i am dealing with, ever since i started REALLY caring for equality. And you don't try to distinguish yourself, by unfollowing me, disliking me and the passive aggression displayed. So, feminism, but not for me, right? And those who think like me? So much for equality.
Oh and - If many men are embarrassed to come forward, how exactly did you make up that statistic? - +1 y
You assumed that I only cared about Western women's rights so I was providing additional examples in the hopes that it would clear that up. Because I don't only care about Western women's rights. For Ms. Adichie's argument I was trying to highlight that around the world feminism is often put down. Simply the idea that women should have the same rights and freedoms as men is seen as scandalous to so many societies.
I can send you the video if you'd like! The interviewer did indeed interview the other side of that story. The men interviewed said that women couldn't defend themselves (saying they can't confront danger despite running away from their environments and creating new lives for themselves and dealing with hostile raids on the daily), that women can't be leaders and shouldn't be given the opportunity, and that women who want a better life (meaning no genital mutilation, no domestic violence, the right to choose what they do with their bodies and lives) are big-headed and should be corrected. It's less to do with a "glad I don't live there" and a call for action in those places. There needs to be a stronger push for women's rights because it feels like we got so far and now the world is going backward. Women shouldn't have to live in a world where they're viewed as lesser than men. They should be able to work just as hard as any man and achieve the same things.
I never remembered following you so that's why I unfollowed you? This site automatically makes me follow people and every time it does that, I unfollow them. I don't really care to follow people! It has nothing to do with you. Besides, I'm not gonna follow every person out there so why does it matter? Also, feminism is about women's rights... it's not about personal relationships between women.
If girl A and girl B aren't getting along that doesn't mean they're sexist. If girl A/B treats other girls rudely simply because they're girls then yea, that's sexism. Hope that clears things up!

For male sexual assault, it's just a statistic I've heard fly around. There's even a foundation called 1in6 that provides support and resources for male sexual assault survivors. Since you asked me to name a woman who sexually assaulted a man and got in trouble for it, Debra LaFave!
When it comes to sexual assault I think people kind of get confused. I'm someone who's done project after project on sexual violence so I'd like to think I'm above that haha. People think that at every sexual violence claim, the offender will be "fired" or charged. But unfortunately, that's not the case. People also like to say that sexual assault accusations can be so casually thrown around but, how often are they? Only a very small percentage of sexual assault claims are false and unfortunately, when they are false, they can be used by people to say "Well look this one is fake, so yours probably is too." We've created an environment where sexual assault survivors aren't accepted and are instead shamed and shunned for coming forward with their stories.
by the way: SORRY MY RESPONSES ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE!! I'm kinda busy so I'm not fully focusing on writing clarity and I apologize for any confusion! 😊
Here are some resources: (to clear up any confusion these are some of the resources I've always looked towards)

Except all you wrote is opinion about to evolve into delusion.
yes, I have (unfortunately) read it all, but you didn't really say anything substantial. Half of it was parroting other feminists.
And except, we already have equality. We already achieved that. Until people like you show up, and want to overdo it and you know what the best part is?
"Also, feminism is about women's rights.."
Damn girl, you don't even try to hide it. Originally, feminism was about equality. Like... For real!
What you do is perverting it. And I want none of it. I don't want my future son harmed, because of suspicious propaganda, agendas and ideology like that. - +1 y
Women's rights are equality... It's trying to give women the same rights as men. As I said in the post, I apologize if I sounded aggressive or backtracked, my mind wasn't fully in the post!
We don't already have equality. Everyday sexism still exists.
There are still plenty of people who think that if you're nice to a girl, she owes you sexual favors. It's a widespread belief, just look at posts on this platform. How can you say we have equality when abortions aren't readily available or they're illegal in so many countries? Or in India, where marital rape is still legal. Iran, wives need permission to travel abroad.
On top of that, equality isn't just about laws, it's also about societal beliefs. There's still a widespread belief that substance-facilitated rape doesn't exist and if a girl is drunk, she automatically consents to sex. And she's just embarrassed when she "cries rape". - +1 y
What you just wrote are your own personal beliefs, which led to you willing to open a club. I live in a place, where I am not discriminated. If you live in discriminating place, that's local problem.
Upbringing rights and acceptances and beliefs for only one gender is NOT equality.
Sexism exists everyday, towards both genders. Try not throwing sand in your eyes the next time you say that.
No one really thinks if you are nice to someone, whatever the gender, the person owes you sex. Except total morons and immature people. I have met only one guy who thought like that, in 18 years of life. And yes, he was a moron and still is. But one guy is not a global problem.
There is also widespread belief and practice, of girl having drunken, consentual sex with rich boy, only to cry out rape after they sober up. And sue for money, not for crime.
You are one-sided. For me, things are two-sided. That's the big difference between us. I take everything into account. You take only one side of the story into account, because its the one which fits your ideology.
You are not going to convince me of anything. And the reason for the late reply is, I fell asleep in my boyfriend's arms. Yea I know what you think - heresy.
and I know what are you going to respond. - +1 y
Debra LaFave - , is a convicted sex offender who In 2005, she pleaded guilty to lewd or lascivious battery against a teenager. She served no prison time, opting for three years of house arrest due to safety concerns, and seven years of probation.
Is that a joke? Are you making fun of me? I asked about women, convicted and harmed due simple accussations from a adult man. What she did was fucking a child. She served no jail time and you call that equality and feminism? ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING WITH ME?
"These strong women do this to protect themselves from the disgusting expectations placed on them from birth."
Then you talked about the other side, how men thought they can't defend themselves. I did look up, and it seemed more like these women live in isolation, than anything else.
What i am interested in, is both genders and the... buffer between them. Differences yet similarities. Relationships, interactions, expectations, consequences, etc.
I am 18yo. fresh out of high school and have already written 11 Articles in here, educative and different, some unique. I am my own person.

Whereas you, you don't do anything specific, different and therefore not impressive. But rather boring and shallow. There are many like you. And you adopted their beliefs. Many of your words are like taken out from a feminist book or you parrot another woman. Feminism used to strongly support female growth, which is a path you don't seem to follow. Even if i was a feminist, i would not follow a copy-paste person like you. You hold the same beliefs and convictions, like many toxic feminists. You give ridiculous examples (excusing ones too!) , like Debra LaFave. I do commend you, for supposedly caring for foreign women, but it doesn't sound like you want to do anything about it, because it is out of your comfort zone. You rather keep pushing your narrative in the US, from safe place/space. You are grown ass woman and it does not suits you buying feminists' misconceptions. You doubt everything and everyone outside your feministic circle, but would take a feminist's word as absolute.
So as conclusion, what you do is standard, similar, using popular (but not in a good way) doctrine. There are many like you. Some worse, some better, but there is nothing unique about your ideology. Its kind of... to be expected. It is people like that, that are uncapable of empathy to the other gender and they end up overdoing their original intent. Or they straight up use 'feminism club' as a cover up for hating men and women, who side with men. Guess feminism is not for everyone (hey, the last part is true!) - +1 y
P. S. : I was however aggressive in my last responses. Apologies.
