What movie, in your opinion, proved women could be more than just their looks?

Alien.

Sigourney Weaver completely changed the idea of a female hero in a movie. She was a total badass! And yeah she was cute but that wasn’t emphasized. They didn’t sex her up like they do with Angelina Jolie or others and she wasn’t made to shake her tits and ass for the camera. Half the time she was wearing a flight suit.

She’s running around fighting off aliens, and that scene at the end where she goes into that giant loading robot to battle the alien queen? Incredible. Such a good movie.
