Why is the Philippines so scared of their Presidential election?

because Marcos was not a "president" he was a dictator that subjugated and entire country to steal a whole lot of money in the process

so now... you will have the son of a dictator to get the power, and his main idea is to kill people that cannot be reformed, whoever is a criminal to their eyes will be put to dead
and his second in command, will be the daughter of the current dictator. like president, and her main idea is to make it mandatory for anyone that turns 18... to join and serve the armed forces, which doesn't sound nice when you consider that it is exactly through martial law, that they ruined the country not so long ago

Because One of the candidate's dad was a dictator who basically terrorised his subjects and stole a lot of money form the government. His wife had a lot of shoes, if I remember correctly...

i just saw John Oliver and the Marcos guy tried to cover up and rewrite their own history during a period where they were in martial law... so people are hoping he loses to that one woman... sorry i suck at names lol. but thats about the gist of it
