Elon Musk said he will reverse Twitter’s permanent ban of former President Donald Trump if the Tesla CEO follows through with his plan to buy the social media company.
Musk, speaking virtually at a Future of the Car summit hosted by the Financial Times, said Twitter’s Trump ban was a “morally bad decision” and “foolish in the extreme.” He said permanent bans of Twitter accounts should be rare and reserved for accounts that are scams or automated bots.

I don’t think he will! Although Elon has suggested that he would unblock former President Trump, it’s my understanding that Fmr. President Trump is on a new platform (I have no idea which) and I think he might have a financial interest in that platform… I honestly don’t know for sure, but it wouldn’t surprise me. If he DID return to Twitter, it would definitely be the best think to happen to CNN’s ratings since he left office! I mean, WOW shutting down their online subscription service after less than a month? CNN needs SOMETHING to happen to boost their anemic ratings!
I never followed him or anyone else on twitter, far as I'm concerned they might as well be screaming down a well with no one in it. No one cares... except for some reason those with TDS do, never understood why.
Wonder if people still have TDS and despite hating him will continue to follow and listen to every word he ever said or tweeted.
I don't get why if you hate someone you would follow every tweet or word they say, that seems strange.
cause he was the president of the usa so what he says mater and can have a major effect on people. it can even effect the economy. if he was never president no one would give a shit at all.
I've never listened or followed any president ever... words are lies, Obama lied a ton, Trump too... I just follow policies put into place, talk is cheap. Actions mean far more. Far as I'm concerned the president could have their mouth glued shut for four years.
I like the idea of twitter being a more open platform, but I don't use it. I've also never been banned or put in FB jail regardless of what I've said on there, as I don't have a large following. It's irrelevant to me, but it seems to make a lot of people insanely happy, while other people are going insane, so it should be exciting.
Pros: Normal people are reminded of who he is. It will wipe millions off the "value" or Truth Social. People will be able to explain their disgust at the three "justices" he nominated
Cons: His insane ramblings will become news again.
I rarely use twitter. But if he gets his platform back then we should unban everyone else who's been banned from social media such as these harmful "pranks."
These videos are obviously fake and I admit I found some of them funny and the creators probably didn't intend any harm only entertainment but it still doesn't make it right to do. But if you want Trump to get his platform back then anyone who's been kicked off should get theirs back too. For the record these pranks are being done in the UK. They'd get shot if they did these in America.

The problem with the Democrats, as I see it, is that they always select duds to be their champion. I mean, how could they not have known that Hilary Clinton would be one of the few people that ordinary Democrats just would never vote for? Even I could clearly see this, and I don't even live in the USA.
well with the midterms we have way more to choose from than just one.. so im sure there will be duds.. but a few good ones as well like cori bush or even someone like a bernie sanders

yes at least with the dems we can still vote in as many as possible and then later sort out the bad from the good. as much as i'd love to just vote for who i truly believe is the best candidate... this is just notthe ideal voting system we got right now. so i vote out of practicality over integrity. who's more electable over a fascist republican.

I don't think Trump should have been permanently banned from Twitter. Maybe temporarily. Or other consequences; like monetary/lawsuits/tweet deletions/suspensions... but not a permanent ban LOL
Slight nitpick. Trump doesn't have a right to use Twitter. Twitter isn't covered by the first Amendment. That only stops the government from restricting you. A private entity can do pretty much as it pleases. That said, I don't use or pay attention to Twitter but am anti censorship.
Are people afraid of what people will say. I am more afraid of the actions of Joe Biden and Camille Harris. Then the actions of Elon musk and former president Donald Trump. You guys are a bunch of little babies.
