What's your favorite Native American tribe?

I’m sorry to say I don’t know any of them enough individually beyond a few basic details to say. So I’ll go with the hometown pick and say the Wampanoag tribe. They’re native to my part of Massachusetts, and at my mother’s high school, their sports teams were (and I think still are) even called “the Wamps”, short for Wampanoags.

Honorable mention to whatever tribe (s) in the Pacific Northwest came up with totem poles and all that brand of artwork, I couldn’t love that stuff any more. Outstanding aesthetic.

The Sioux had the best threads, hands down.

I don't know much about the different tribal cultures. I do know that the Native Americans who lived in northern California before the gold rush were peaceful and at one with the land. That's pretty cool.

I can not possibly know of all of them.
Sure: 'you' heard a few names, but really... much of what I 'heard' is from movies or stories only; that's really not a smart way to pick a favourite, right?
But I can name a single outstanding person who impressed me a lot:
Tecumseh. He was a true American; much more than the present palefaces ever will be.
