The incident comander somehow thought it went from an active shooter to a trap shooter situation. There was 19 cops outside those rooms as he was shooting children and the cops took 45 minutes to ingage. There was armed parents wanting to go in and cop would not let them. Cop could have walk around the bldg and shoot the shooter through the window. These mistakes were made but damn 911 was blowing up with children say send the police in. I know hindsight is best but with all the children dead what higsight. It just so sad.

there are millions of AR15s which never are misused in crime and some which allow legal owners to deter or stop criminals. wanna talk about other murders committed using other weapons illegally which DWARF this publicized mass shooting? how about 5 % of the demographic population who commits over 50% of the nation's violent crime? The media has left you in ignorance of the one mass shooter-a rogue airforce man with a military rifle- who was stopped from continuing his massacre to outside a church by a neighboring member of that church who is a civilian shooting range trainer AND he used an AR 15 to do it. you will also not be informed of the many thousands of murders PREVENTED each year by legally armed citizens because THAT would not support "the political narrative" against the 99.998 % responsible gun owners. However if saving human life - and not vengeful blame against all gunowners- is your motivation and we base this on raw per capita statistics- then we can compare OTHER rights which are abused by a greater percentage to inflict harms, as well. example: Religious rights. How many people die from heart attacks/diabetes from eating that crap? what exactly is the outrage really about? loss of life or it's that others are exercising more rights than you and the fact that a few ABUSE those rights warrants taking away those rights altogether? I get this as a motorcylist: auto drivers who don't like the fact my bike is many times quicker (crossing a 30 yard intersection in -2 seconds from green light and without tire squeal, before they can even start rolling), so when some biker dies in a wreck for lack of experienced judgement, they want all bikes banned).
