Probably democrats. The only real chance of a fracture is if centrists Democrats and centrist Republican create their own party. However, as 74 million republicans voted for a far right president, there obviously aren't nearly enough republicans that would leave the party for a centrist option. So a centrist party would have to be populated almost entirely with democrats, which would fracture the party.

Although, it is inaccurate to suggest the democratic party isn't already the centrist party. What would actually have to happen is the few fringe left in the democratic party would have to split off and form their own, and the centrist republicans would then have to join the democrats. But the far left elements of the democratic party are well are thats not a rational option - democrats must change their name if they hope to attract any republicans, as most of Republican messaging efforts have been directed towards simply conditioning its listeners to think the name Democrat is toxic. Plus there are already a smattering of left wing parties to siphon off democratic votes. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be anything like that plaguing republicans. Perhaps that is why they have managed to shift so far to the right - their extreme elements never split off to establish their own party and, in the absesne of centrist repiblicans having access to a message that centrist democrats weren't already saying, the centrist republicans were thus exposed to the extremists messaging until they bought it.

Well, the the split in the Democratic party is mainly between the party itself and its voters. Most of the "traditional democratic values" types have either retired or caved, and the radicals have slammed the party so far left that there's an obvious disconnect between them and "the people." Assuming they get clobbered this upcoming cycle as currently expected, the most optimistic course of action is that they will change course without collapsing, which would heavily revolve around disavowing globalist policies. Even then, the party doubling down on stupidity is probably more likely than the party breaking apart.

The Republican Party however is much more internally fractured into no less than 5 distinct sub-factions and has been since the 1930s, and the one issue that they've been generally unanimous on (low business taxes) is eroding pretty quickly especially in regards to big businesses. Fortunately for them though, this set of Republicans (the Mitt Romneys, Jeb Bushes and Liz Cheneys) are easily the least popular among voters so it wouldn't be much of a loss if they left or switched. Total internal collapse at this point is very unlikely, and a big part of that is the lack of coherent leadership and an affinity for being most politically active when there's little chance of success and actions have minimal consequences.

Neither is going to cease to exist any time, but Republicans tend to form a lot more splinter groups that break off from the main party - like the Tea Party, for example. It's not hard to imagine true Republicans (ironically, the ones being labelled "RINO"s) and Trumpists ending up as two separate parties.

The Republican party is basically having a civil war over Trump and they also very stubbornly cling to a voter base that is shrinking so they are likely to fragment and lose power in the future until they can find a unifying message again and build a new voter base who isent old and dying.

Neither, the Dems have been around since 1828 and the Reps since 1854. Both have very solid political bases. They're not going anywhere. It's more likely that a third party might evolve, and even that's not very likely. The US has been basically a two-party system since its beginnings 250 years ago.
