Now who’s driving gas prices?

This is a case of leftists just "doing something" for the sake of "doing something". That won't solve the problem, but OMG, they can say they DID SOMETHING!
When the White House vegetable took office, the gas prices in the US averaged $1.89/gal. AND the US was a net EXPORTER of oil. We were FINALLY independent foreign oil for our energy needs. The Vegetable decided to reverse EVERYTHING Trump did to prove how wrong Trump was. Now, in less than 2 years, we have inflation rates that have not been this bad for 40 years! We have the highest gasoline prices EVER while the WH Idiot begs our enemies to produce more oil (when we have more than enough proven resources here).
So what's the Democrat solution? Tell our oil companies to drill more oil while they've been ordered by Executive Orders to not be allowed to use the processes and leases they had. Their newest idea is to give us 3 months of no gas taxes. Another brain-dead idea of theirs is for all of us to suddenly buy electric vehicles (like that's even possible?).
We HAD low oil prices when Trump was in office. What did Biden change to our energy policy to make the price jump so much and so fast? It WAS working before.
Liberals have a mental disorder and their chief mental midget sits behind the Resolute Desk.
What would be more of a help would not only suspending federal gas taxes but releasing strategic Billions of gallons of fuel and oil from the Strategic Military Reserve. I literally paid 60 dollars for a half a tank of gas to top my car off to full.
That, he could do without congress, so he did.
"Biden orders 180 million barrels of oil released from reserve over next six months"

The Democrats also tried to pass an anti-price-gouging law.
Biden had a plan to reduce gas prices, the GOP voted against it.

That isn't going to help at all. Average it out and it's almost about $20 bucks or so a month.
Oil companies who refuse to increase production.
(politicians don't control the price of oil)
Congress is a compilation of both Democrats and Republicans and I don't think the Republicans have the majority.
@goaded No I'm saying that it is fallacious to assume that the GOP is at least the only one behind the backlash considering the news article provided said Congress.
I don't have any doubts that the GOP are partially responsible because they mostly just sit on their hands and let democrats do whatever they want, but normally I normally hear democrats freaking out at the sound of lowering taxes.
Taxation is theft so I am 100% support of the removal of the gas tax. The problem I have is that Biden knows exactly what he needs to do to get the prices lower and that he needs to remove the climate change measures he placed since he came into office, but I know he won't do it. I do admit that the removal of a tax is a bold move for a democrat.
Talk about "fallacious"! "the GOP are partially responsible because they mostly just sit on their hands and let democrats do whatever they want"? They vote against practically everything the democrats want, no matter how popular amongst their constituents, which is the opposite of "letting them do whatever they want.
@goaded Didn't we just have a bunch of them voting in favor of red flag laws?
@goaded They don't have any counter legislation it's the democrats coming up with all of them and the Republicans are just their speed bumps.
Why not make legislation like federally mandating everyone to carry a gun? Something equally as insane but aligns with their views.
@goaded You do realize that all SCOTUS did was say that it was not up to them to decide on abortion right? Not to mention the case was decided on erroneous practices which was something that even RBG admitted. If they wanted to decide that no one has a right to abortion or contraception then they would have ruled that, but they didn't and took a neutral route.
I would be happy for them to make an amendment for contraception and life-saving abortion so that the pro-choice people wouldn't have to lie to say that abortion is their constitutional right. The problem is that it ceases to be one if it is abused to violate the rights of others who have done nothing to you, which is why citing the second amendment to shoot up schools doesn't work. I believe that if the child is conceived by the mother's consent it does not deserve to be aborted.
Consent to sex is not consent to create a baby. I do realise that the decision was on shaky grounds, but it was a SCOTUS decision that had held for nearly 50 years, and that nearly all of the "justices" who voted to overturn it testified under oath that they would respect existing decisions absent compelling reasons not to (and Thomas certainly lied about never having considered Roe while he was in law school).
stare decisis: "the doctrine under which courts adhere to precedent on questions of law in order to insure certainty, consistency, and stability in the administration of justice with departure from precedent permitted for compelling reasons (as to prevent the perpetuation of injustice) "
