so as we all heard, the truck that had immigrants in it, was so hot, that almost all the immigrants inside the truck died. That's sad but isn't it kinda the risk they accept when they try to illegally enter the United States simply because it's a better country where they live better?

I remember reading something about one of the sheriffs in Texas picking them up on trespassing charges even though he had to let them go because it would get them a record and they’d be in eligible for food stamps. If we can’t get the Fed to close the border we can get the governors to disincentive eyes moving to red states at a minimum. I think a lot of them are lied to about the conditions and ease of entering the US. The coyote don't care as long as they get their money. This has happened many times. Summer is a horrible time to be stuck inside a closed truck for hours. I seem to recall something similar in Europe a few years back also.

Yea, a lot of them are desperate. I always thought the best border policy for the US would be to help Mexico as much as possible. Take away the incentive. Besides, they are neighbors and should benefit from having a rich neighbor and trade partner.

There is a skool of thought similar to that, but i don’t know for sure. I was born and raised in the US. If i’ve ever met someone who had to sneak in, they didn’t mention it and i didn’t ask. I think it’s safe to say it’s risky. However, being willing to risk not just death but suffering and death? Either conditions in southern north America and central America are worse than most of us understand, or these people likely don’t know the full risks they’re taking. It’s also not out of the question that they were slave prisoners to begin with and had little choice in the matter. People here tend to overlook the fact that human trafficking is very real and it permeates every state in the country.
