This event is a perfect example of how willful failure to secure the border is not compassionate. When you have deliberate policies that incentivize illegal immigration like that of the Biden administration, this is the kind of thing that results. The people packed into that tractor-trailer rig believed that once inside the U. S. there would be no consequences for their illegal entry. And under Biden's border and immigration enforcement policies they had good reason to believe that.
If the border was open, why would they bother using methods like these to enter when they could literally just walk in? If anything this is a sign of a border being very much restricted and people being desperate to get through anyways and the solution to which would be to dedicate more resources and manpower to helping them enter legally.
The blood is on the hands of everyone in the government, stop using just one person as a scapegoat. When are you Americans going to realise that it's not republican Vs democrat, its actually rich Vs poor.
First, they did not have to get in that truck. It was their decision.
Second, neither Trump's policies or Biden's policies could have stopped them.
