Why does everyone hate Clarence Thomas?

He is a good judge; the left hates the SCOTUS since they can't control them.
Only the libtards hate him

Might have something to do with the fact that he's ethically compromised by his wife, who supported throwing out the results of a legitimate election. Then he refuses to recuse himself from any/all election related cases, despite his obvious bias.
He also wants to ban contraceptives, same sex marriages, and who knows what else. The dude is pushing his agenda on the entire country, taking away rights, and fucking over millions of people.
I don't give a damn about his race; he's corrupt and biased: two things no judge should be, let alone a Supreme Court judge.
So yeah... fuck that asshole.
His wife is arguing against the January 6th idiots on the far-left, trying to bring some balance and reason to this waste of taxpayer money. So the far-left first starting attacking his wife. Then him, calling him "monkey, baboon, house n*gger, race traitor, Uncle Tom" and all kinds of very not-polite things. (Not just black people, white people on the left calling him this, too.) He basically struck back and said "f*ck you; no more abortions; everyone gets a gun." And that's the story.
And yeah, the entire Supreme Court was all involved with those decisions, obviously, but that's his reasoning on it. "You're gonna f*ck with my wife? Well, how you like these apples?'"
I'm neutral in all this, by the way. I think the eventual banning of abortion is a bad precedent, but I'm so done hoping America gets better. I have no positive or negative feelings towards Clarence Thomas.
Abortion is murder
You're taking away a life
I'm sorry. I didn't know you were a vegan. And anti-firearms and against gun control. And an environmentalist that helps protect cockroaches and mosquitos that wander into human homes as well. I didn't realize life was so important to you.
From conception to two months is an embryo.
From two to about six months is a fetus.
From six to nine months is a pre-born baby in the womb, and could potentially survive outside of the womb with a C-section.
Nothing before the third trimester can be called a baby. No more than pizza dough can be called a pizza before it's put in the oven.
But I'm not having this stupid pro-life argument again. I'm so sick of this topic on GAG. You're entitled to your opinions and I'm entitled to mine. I just don't agree with or see any logic or intelligence in the pro-life argument. I'll leave it at that.
You're ignoring science it's literally a human. But go on.
He hasn't saved shit.
You are supposed to be a woman. You do realize this legislation gives a state the right to elevate the life of a fetus. . . over your own.
If you have a miscarriage, you can be investigated for the charge of murder.
Figure this shit out before you end up dressed in red.
They don't like him because he doesn't act the way they think a black guy should- or think the way they should.
However, now that you've posed the statement of saving black children- I'm feeling more and more negative about restrictions on abortion...
I'm not calling him the n word or anything. But he's even calling for the Supreme Court to reconsider its past contraception and same sex marriage rulings, while he's at it and since he wants to go all the way back why doesn't he call on them to reconsider its interracial marriage ruling as well? Oh yeah, cause isn't he in an interracial marriage himself? It's the hypocrisy for me.
Cause interracial marriage is in the 14th amendment... Abortion isn't.
Birth control is protected under the first amendment under the right of privacy from government intrusion. And going against same sex marriage is every bit as discriminatory as going against interracial marriage.
No it's not... What are you talking about...
You don't know much about the law do you? Contraception became legalized based under the right of privacy against government intrusion, want to go even further back than that? Clarence Thomas has civil rights that weren't always in place under the law either.
Banning gay marriage is every much as discriminatory as banning interracial marriage in a secular country, cause guess what? There's supposed to be a separation of church and state, and you don't get to impose your religious views on the lives of other people.
Because he's openly conservative, and many people (black and otherwise) buy into the idea that being black means being liberal, above and beyond any other considerations.
That's dumb and I'm black and conservative.
Oh, I agree- but then, such people don't ask me.
When you fuck over half the country for the next several years minimum, yeah, you're going to be fucking hated.
How about you take responsibility and don't sleep around.
The only people that hate him are liberals. Liberals and Democrats play identity politics so having a black conservative judge voting against abortion angers them and scares them.
I don't hate Clarence Thomas I just disagree with him. In this country you can disagree with someone, it doesn't mean you hate them. And you can disagree with someone who is a different race than you are without being racist.
The great black man, well according to liberals we have to like him or else your racist.
I didn't know we hated him. But then again I don't have any idea who is
I love Clarance Thomas he’s my favorite SCOTUS judge
If Bill Cosby didn't have sense of humor, he would be Clarence Thomas. Think about it.
I love the guy. He should be Time's man of the year
Not everyone hates him :)
But a lot of those who do, do it because they are hypocrites.
Clarence Thomas is my favorite judge.
EVERYONE does Not hate Him
Thomas is fucking dickhead, that's why.
@MCheetah Because his attitude is anything that's not mentioned in the Constitution should not be governed by Federal Law unless it is “deeply rooted in this Nation’s history and tradition” and “implicit in the concept of ordered liberty.”
Well fuck - the Constitution is over 230 years. There are a shit ton of things NOT mentioned in the Constitution, NOR are they "deeply rooted in US history", that are pertinent NOW! Slavery is deeply rooted in US history - is that a reason to bring it back? Whites only bathrooms are deeply rooted in US history. Women not having the vote is too. And so on.
His "illogic" along with the other Conservative bitches will set us back 100 years. Times change. Thomas is setting a dangerous precedent, and he's fine with it. That's why he's a fucking dickhead.
I agree with your argument, but not the way you're making him. Nor can I really side with a 36 to 45 year old man calling someone a "f*cking dickhead" like they're Beavis and Butthead. But it's not like HE was the sole one who made the decision. The entire supreme court did. And you also can't blame "the conservatives" on this either. They're gloating, yes, but they didn't make this decision.
I don't agree, nor like, the pro-life argument at all, but again, your ire is misplaced and you sound really immature in the way you're arguing it. You're not going to win people over by doing that... If you even care to.
@MCheetah If you don't like my lexicon, that's your choice, as is evaluating my level of maturity.
Yes, the "entire Supreme Court" did this only in the sense that those who disagreed were overruled, and the SCOTUS stamp goes on the whole thing. When history records this, it will say "The court ruled 5-4, etc, etc." Only the five Conservative judges agreed with the majority opinion, so let's be real about it. The Conservatives did, ipso facto, make this decision. This is why Coney was rushed to the bench.
So let me rephrase and expand - I think ALL the justices who accepted this reasoning and argument are, ok let's not say dickheads here, but rather short sighted, narrow minded and frankly, rather immature themselves for adopting the explanation they did. My "ire" is, would and will be, with any judge or juries who use that argument as a precedence for denying people rights in a rapidly changing world. My counter argument is extremely strong for rejecting their premise from a case that is in and of itself, more than 50 years old.
And it just irks me beyond reason that Kavanaugh could lie, get caught in it, and blow it off as a memory loss and still be confirmed. It was contemptable.
Boy that's true.
I think he’s great.
