Well…. I mean…they all lied in their confirmation hearings about respecting precedent, so that’s alarming, on a level of principle. I mean, I know someone will have some retort amounting to how this was legitimate to do.

I think I just find the whole concept of states’ rights to be counterproductive to a unified country. Everyone kind of needs to be thinking roughly the same, pulling the wagon in roughly the same direction. Otherwise, we might as well just break up in 50 small countries. I don’t think you can successfully have a country where half the people are going one direction and the other half want to do the total opposite. Kind of need a hive-mind mentality for any nation to really work.

The senate was complicit. I think when Mitch McConnell blocked a nominee for a year or so, it was a mail in the coffin of the court being unbiased. He like, when it’s your team no, when it’s our team yes… everyone involved in that was making a situation when instead they should have been cooperating to make this country work. I don’t vote people into office to do nothing but hinder any sort of progression forward.

There are judges on there from W. Bush and even Bush Sr.

And Democrats could have done more to fight against the rising tide of fascist SCOTUS members, but instead did nothing.

Trump was the last needed piece, but I think even if he hadn't appointed one, this still would have happened the next time a Republican got the Presidency.

when the supreme court judges are picked by their political stance then you will have a leaning one-way supreme court system which it is not to be its about American law not politics
