During the summer of 2020, many insurrections were happening, but they FBI stood down.
500+ riots, and it didn't seem to matter.

Like most diaries, it's probably 99% the ramblings of an insecure lunatic that are maybe cringey but unlikely to have much of value. It also seems if anything worthwhile was actually in it, he would've made copies of the evidence and leaked it to the court of public opinion at the very least. It's really only the fact that the FBI was ordered into action over it that really makes that story noteworthy at all, because that agency is badly stretched thin yet always seems to pull a small army out of its ass for petty, political things. Of course a lot of people want to believe it's actually a codebook for all sorts of corrupt deals, but I think people grossly underestimate how vain and self-absorbed lifelong political families can actually be.

Not outside of this one, but committing an entire office worth of agents to stupid sh*t for political imaging, such as the "noose" at the nascar garage is, unfortunately, nothing new to them or the federal government in general. Grotesque misallocations of manpower for self-validation are extremely commonplace in the military as well.
