Historical ease of use as a scapegoat, mostly; that's the price you pay for not culturally integrating. Despite the fact that people will use ANYTHING Israel does as a reason to criticize it, there ARE more than a few legitimately questionable decisions they've made, and to the minds of many people, Jewish=unquestionably supporting Israel. This is idiotic, as Jews aren't unthinking beasts, but how often is bigotry associated with thinking things through?

More legitimately, the chauvinism so many demonstrate is NOT doing them any favors. Look at that second picture you've posted. Stop anti-Semitism now? Okay- but what percentage of the Semitic population do you think Jews are? For that matter, what percentage of Jews are Semites? The latter is, naturally, higher, but both are pretty damn low- "Semite" is not a religious or ethnic term; it's a *linguistic* one, and the Semitic language include ARABIC, which is spoken over huge swathes of the world.

Western society is increasingly valuing victimhood, as it divides the world into victims and oppressors. That's pretty stupid in itself; NO PART of human nature is that simple. But political manipulators can lie, and lie they do, and the results are predictable: take a pencil and paper and go around asking 100 people on the street how many people died in the Holocaust. The most common answer you'll get is "six million". This is damned unfortunate, considering what it's the result of. Six million JEWS died in the Holocaust, and while they were certainly people, so were the *other* six million who died. And no, it wasn't a separate massacre; they starved in Dachau or were gassed in Auschwitz, right beside the Jews. Fifteen, twenty years ago, the social narrative said that the Jews were victims, and must be honored as such; today, most see them as having switched to oppressor status, and lament that historical revisionism- not because it undermines the evil of the Nazis, or the horrors of inhumanity in general, but because it paints the Jews as victims.

The key lesson is that bigotry is stupid, no matter what its flavor.

Great question. The Jews wrote their own demise arround 600 BC. Before that time the Jewish Religion told of a promise land where they would become kings and build the kingdom of Judea. Eventually they did build a kingdom, until the reign of King Solomon when the Kingdom fell to the Persians prophesied by Solomon himself. This prophecy and many other Jewish prophecies told the coming of the Messiah and the End of the world. Also related to Solomon. In order to build the first temple Solomon used magic to enslave demons to do all the hard labor. These demons lead by Asmodeus Eventually broke free from his control and swore to destroy Isreal and the Jews by hiding among them and encouraging self destructive behavior. They were newly freed stone Masons (the reason the Freemasons have so many Conspiracies arround them). Anyway Jesus happens and there are some disagreements from Jewish Christians and Jews. Later Christians become sepparate and begin to say that Christ is the Messiah. Since Jews don't believe that Christ is the Messiah they are believed to be Satanists, or even Demons. It's a huge Conspiracy that the Jews themselves wrote. Ironic.

It's really not my job to rationalize the hatred of various nutjobs. @jennifer_bloom has already described it perfectly, it's about a larger group getting more and more radical against a minority, they know nothing about (or worse have been incited by lies and slander). It's the same way, the Muslim minority in India is slandered, beaten and killed by Hindu nationalists. "The Jews" (a highly heterogeneous group, by the way) as oldest organized monotheistic religion have always been a convenient scapegoat. Many popular conspiracy theories have antisemitic roots. It's much easier to believe "the Jew" poisoned the well, instead of understanding that rotten infrastructure helps spreading diseases.

And what seems to be your problem with Wikipedia? That site is one of the few examples of actual swarm intelligence - contrary to a cesspit like Facebook, for example.

Jews were approximately 2% of the Russian population and had been one of the groups that was greatly persecuted under the Tsar (so were other non-ethnic Russians like Latvians, Poles and Lithuanians). They were only a tiny portion of the Bolsheviks. Yet according to you, they successfully conquered Russia and carried out mass murder all by themselves.

And let's look at the Bolshevik leadership:

Lenin: Russian Orthodox upbringing. One maternal Jewish grandparent who was a convert to Christianity.
Trotsky: Secular Jew, purged by Stalin
Stalin: Georgian, not Jewish, primarily responsible for the mass murder you reference
Kalinin: Ethnic Russian
Bukharin: Ethnic Russian
Kamenev: Father was born Jewish and converted to Russian Orthodoxy, mother was Russian Orthodox. Voted against armed revolt against the Menshiviks.
Zinoviev: Jewish (voted against armed revolt against the Menshiviks)

Once they gained power, the Bolsheviks suppressed Jewish culture and religion.
