Have you ever felt $uicidal?

I have thought of suicide a bunch of times and was even tempted to hang myself to get the death experience. I am depressed, and when suicide is tempting me, I just know that I'll be fine if I died after attempting. When I did try, I felt nervous, like I was at an amusement park, waiting in line for the most thrilled ride in the park.

No, but I've thought about how much I don't mind dying, I'd never do it myself or think that way but for example I'd be driving on a straight road and then think to myself that I'm speeding a bit too much and that if a car comes out of that left turn which I don't see I'll probably die, I don't really care enough to stop speeding so whatever happens happens I'm fine with it, does that make sense?

Twice in my life I felt serious about it.

Both times were about women. Obviously I may have a serious issue with basing my entire value as a human being on whether or not I have a girlfriend. When I was a single young man I was severely depressed at times, and when my marriage ended I was honestly a real danger to myself. I had a child to care for so I had to suppress my issues and put him first.

Certainly, there have been points where I was certain I was going to commit suicide soon but here I have. I have been hospitalized 3 times for suicidal behavior and have been taking antidepressants and more since 2020

Yes I have, multiple times especially when I was younger. However I am stronger than my doubts, why rush my already inevitable death too?
