Have you ever been attacked by the press?

This is almost a daily occurence for me, lol. This former advisor quit on her own, but she went crying to the press that I threw her out.

The headline says - "I'm not surprised by his modus operandi - whoever doesn't agree gets thrown out". I find it funny they label me as an authoritarian dictator when I let them write what they want without issue.

Never and I gotta wonder what training can be provided to deal with it.

Maybe you need to have them interview you before they write trash or start suing them for libel... is that a thing in Italy... suing people for false reporting?

If there's a document they quit on their own, can that be provided?

Sadly, I think you come out of this job despising humanity more than ever and looking forward to all opportunities to screw them over. That is what I think happens in these positions unless you are strongly spiritually grounded to some greater ethic.

No, I wouldn’t be comfortable with that. Though, I’ve written neutral article with direct quotes and the audience still thinks it’s taking a bias angle. People believe what they want to believe. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sadly, sometimes the truth is uglier than what’s being printed by journalists too.

Yeah I never want to be one of those sleazy journalists. Plus most of those companies are demanding and try to push you to write stuff you don’t necessarily want to write. I wrote for Outsider (. com) and they wanted 5-8 articles a day. And this was right before the 2020 election and I didn’t want to cover politics at all and I don’t think they liked that.

Yeah they were shorter news articles but still it was stressful. And they published them all. More clicks and ad revenue.

@MzAsh They published all of them? Wow! That is just wild. I can't imagine being a reporter and having to write that many articles in one day. Don't most newspapers have just one or two articles per day by the same person? I don't know.

But maybe it's the whole "online" aspect.

Did they just want you to write random shit to fill a quota?
Did they even care if it was unique or even relevant to anything?

This particular job was full time, strictly remote. We took breaking news or relevant topics on entertainment, sports, politics, some lifestyle, current events and pitched a unique angle on it. So for this one we didn’t have time to interview anyone ourselves, we just researched existing info and used it to write an article. Many topics were already in the queue each day as proposed by the managing editor. I was unhappy with that job because there was no one cared about quality. It was about quantity.
