Anonymous(36-45)+1 yIt doesn't really matter in the end, this represents an escalation in political warfare which will make future presidents very much more reluctant to peacefully give up power knowing this might happen to them.
There is a reason the Constitution prohibits any further punishment for Impeachment beyond removal from office. To do otherwise would invariably make ruling politicians afraid of giving up power and thus ultimately unwilling to do so.
Having just crossed that line, the American Federal Constitutional Republic is now officially doomed.
The only option for saving it is to totally abolish the ability of successors to do this.00 Reply

The FBi got a search warrant because they believed he would have them, and they were right. When the FBI has a warrant to search a place, it's usually because they have strong suspicion that they will find evidence of wrong-doing. Yes, there will most likely be charges against him because taking those classified documents out of the WH was a crime.

They don't think they're above the law, they just expect it to be equally applied. I know, a crazy concept, right?

"The New York Times reported that the search appeared to be focused on records that Trump brought with him to the Mar-a-Lago estate after leaving the White House." That's against the law, and there is pretty strong evidence that Trump did remove records from the White House at the end of his term.

+1 yThey're part of the deep state/illuminazi's and are doing what they can to keep him from running again. What we're going through right now in this country is part of their plan to severely fuck us over!! Everybody with a brain KNOWS he won the last election and that Joe cheated!! Well, Joe's handlers cheated!! I seriously doubt Joe could wipe his own ass without someone helping him!! Their first ploy is to divide us and make us weak and poor.

The 3 reasons:
1. Attempt to prevent Trump from running in 2024
2. Attempt to sway voters judgement in the mid-term elections.
a. tarnish anyone associated to the former president.
3. A distraction from Biden’s abysmal trip/press opp today in Kentucky (try to find a story / report out of it, it’s sad / comical)The DOJ and FBI have become the new Gestapo of the modern Democratic Party.
Note: This type of action has NEVER happened in our country’s history….. if it can happen to a former President, it can and will happen to any American Citizen deemed to be a significant adversary…. (If things continue on the current path). Also take note of the new “Inflation Reduction Bill that passed….. hiring 87k IRS employees…. Why, to raise funds / harass political dissidents….

Yeah because the notion that this is part of the National Archives investigation, and that Trump Illegally held classified documents violating Federal records laws is just so outlandish, and improbable, that all this conspiracy theory bullshit makes more sense.
Opinion Owner+1 y@youreanidiot2 Not once did I mention conspiracy…. And it is an unprecedented act by the DOJ and FBI…. It’s unlikely this is part of a National Archive Investigation…. but we will just have to wait and see the search warrant request documentation….. Although my guess is it won’t be released for at least 100 (or more) days. Time will tell though.
Note: Unfortunately there are plenty of examples over the past decade showing the unprecedented political bias in departments that are allegedly non-political.
Finally/Unfortunately it appears history is repeating itself…. the real question, who is the new J Edgar Hoover? And who is actually running our government….. Biden isn’t (he can barely form a complete sentence).- +1 y
Everything you said was a conspiracy theory.. And it is part of the national archives investigation.🙄 And then you rattle off more ridiculous conspiracy theories about who's running the government. 😄

Sure thing…..
Time will tell…. (Most likely 100 or more days away though)
I find it highly suspicious, especially when Hillary with her server and Hunter with his drugs and international connections had and have pretty clear evidence of crimes. Makes me question whether the FBI is unbiased and whether we are now living in the equivalent of a Banana Republic.
And no, I did not vote for the Orange Man. Nor did I support the Senile Child Sniffer.10 Reply26.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Because he has pretty much said that he will run for president in 2024 and there is no way he can be stopped. They are doing a hail Mary at this point.

@StevieNix Probable cause is a VERY low burden. Has nothing to do with innocence or guilt. A couple accusations are probable cause enough. Easy.
