And considering that this warrant was against a former President (and the current Presidents more prominent competitor in the next election, if Biden runs again), I would be shocked if the public interest didn't compel the release of the document. Conservative news sources are saying that the warrant was filed on the grounds of an investigation into the way Trump was storing the documents. Liberal sources are saying that it was the mere fact he possessed the documents.

My understanding of 18 U. S. C. § 2071 is that Presidents are allowed to hold onto certain documents, so I want to see what the warrant actually said. I also want to look into the judge that signed off, because apparently he was part of Epstein's defense team.

So, obviously this is very circumstantial and only my personal opinion, but I think it speaks to the integrity of the judge. Epstein was involved with and protected by incredibly powerful people, many of whom are still heavily involved in our government. Trump had cut his connections with Epstein very early on and most of the issue people had with Trump was how he was trying to remove people like Epstein from the establishment.

The angle I want to investigate here (and I really cannot stress enough that this is only my personal curiosity), is why was the warrant request sent to this particular judge? This is particularly relevant if the warrant is based on something super flimsy.

Here are my thoughts not as a "Trumper" or Republican but as neutral as possible. The first and biggest red flag to me is the massive number of officers geared up as though hitting a drug house. Second media was informed as it was happening. Next is the timing of this not just time of day but day of week and right after last night's win on the climate bill. The Democrats are desperate to "dispose" of Trump and any supporter as well as any Republican. I believe that we will soon learn they "found" (AKA planted) something very juicy to their cause! All I can say is the FBI better have rock solid evidence and probable cause for doing this. They never raided Hillary Clinton’s office or residence despite her email shredding being as criminal as the day is long. If this turns out to be a miscommunication or a screw up then this is terrifying example that government institutions are being weaponized for political purposes.

With that said I could see Trump doing something (unintentionally) boneheaded like blowing off returning documents to the national archive. However I 99.99999% doubt this part of any sort of “conspiracy”

I don’t want him to run in 2024 anyway. He’s too much trouble This could be a blessing in disguise for republicans. This almost guaranteed De Santis will get the nomination and he’s a far better candidate

There was a good reason in the Federal constitution even the punishment for impeachment can extend no further than removal from office.
Institutionally getting people to step down from power peacefully is a major problem that has often led to civil wars at best and straight up dictatorships more often.
