I'm not 100% confident in what you're saying but I'm going to take a stab at it.

In 2001 googles created a motto "to not be evil." Between 21 April and 4 May 2018, Google removed that motto off the books. Even though it was a symbolic gesture from beginning to end, it is telling of changing times and changing of Corporate hands.

Recognized businesses can be bought out under new management. Basically a new business wearing an established skin. At the same time old school businesses buying out new skins to wear.

So there is no guarantee tradition on any economic level anywhere.
