Can you think of another economic system that has brought so much prosperity? Unfortunately we live in a world with scarcity. We do not live in minecraft creative mode where we can do what ever we want. Allowing people to make there own decisions on how they want to use there resources is the only way to efficiently manage scarcity.

Sure people will take advantage of others, people with disabilities will find it hard to trade, and children of rich people will have it all. Despite this, A capitalist system still gives everyone their best chance at happiness.

The proof of the pudding is in front of us. Taking Marxist economies as the competitive alternative which is doing better? Before you mention China, it has substantial debt problems and is suffering deflation which is quite a bad thing not to mention the glut of housing and falling prices/sales. They copied Japan and South Korea in pumping cheap credit into their economy. Japan had a lost decade as a result.

Authoritarian regimes can do better in a short periods but not for the long term. China is semi authoritarian semi Marxist.

Capitalism is prone to monopolistic practices but every capitalist country has dealt with that issue.

It's only ''good'' when it's paired with humanitarian considerations as well.

Which does NOT mean to bomb out all who disagree to one's ''values'' - unless one is lucky enough to own more nukes than ''the other ones''.

Which then may make one say: ''See! - We were right''

Personally, I prefer Intelligentism over Capitalism.

Capitalism is WITHOUT A DOUBT the greatest innovation for human progress EVER invented.

Laissez-faire, free enterprise, unregulated rapacious capitalism is WITHOUT A DOUBT the worst EVIL ever spawned by humankind.

Hope that clears it up!

Capitalism lets the majority suffer in poverty for the unnecessary huge profit of a handfull of individuals.
