Is it ok to dislike the illegal immigrants that waste time, gives the others a bad reputation?

My parents (both Mexicans) came the legal way and actually took the time to learn English. By the time I was born, they already knew the language. They didn't want to rely on translators forever. It's not perfect but at least it's understandable and clear. That's better than not trying at all.

I dislike the ones that not just come illegally but can't even tell their address in English after 10-20 years and continue relying on their children or others to translate, wasting our time and making the other immigrants look bad. The bad reputation has been earned because of the bad ones coming illegally, bringing drugs or doing other things, ruining it for the good ones. Is it ok to really dislike them?

Or at least it should be OK. Legal immigrants don't like illegal immigrants.

My mother's from Cuba, and step father from Honduras. Both legal. While my mother put in the effort to learn the language and integrate with American society, my step father did the opposite and remained a Honduran, trying to cut himself from society and trying to live the same life he lived in Honduras.

Like... why even bother coming here if you're just going to live the same miserable life? And this is also the reason why illegals are a threat to any country that has drastically different values. Because out of the 5 people that cross the US border to start a better life, 2 of them are stuck in their ways... and we need to weed them out before they start leeching of taxpayer funded safety net programs.

Exactly. They are already law breakers by entering illegal and aren't providing anything useful to us, to the community, something of value. Then it's another insult for them not to learn the English.
If they're going to break the law... ok then at least do something special, compensate for it, make it so exceptional that it overrides your illegal entrance.

If it's the wealthy, rich dog whisperer Cesar Millan that's already a citizen ok or some great doctor that we really need, running short in the medical/stem field and/or is saving lives, ok fine you got my respect. You're doing something exceptional that that we and the community need and speaking the language. That's my only exception for letting you stay.

My grandparents came to the US at the turn of the 20th century from Germany and Poland. They all learned to speak English. They raised their kids to love this country. My father and uncles fought in WWII against Germany and Japan. As their grandchildren, we were taught to follow American laws and respect the freedom we have here. I don’t see anything wrong w that. I know plenty of immigrants who came here legally, paid what was to them, a lot of money to get everything they needed to be considered legal. As for the ones selling drugs, I personally think if it can be proven with video and audio evidence that someone was selling drugs, they deserve the death penalty, whether they are legal citizens or not. Drugs are the main problem of why so many people here are messed up, immoral, and stupid.
