How many times have you spoken to the police and had to say yes you have guns in your car?

For me it hasn’t happened once time but most of the time it has, now I haven’t been pulled over since I was 21 I was speeding and being stupid I had just gotten out of the firing range and I had 2 shotgun a.270 and muzzleloader.50 cal both pistol and rifle and a.22 all in the truck there individual bags except the muzzle loaders. I was just watching a cop of the on YouTube and they posted this question I said once. I do normally carry a pistol in the glove compartment because I don’t trust human never had to use it except on paper zombies I don’t trust seattle or Portland

I’ve only been asked that once and at the time i had no firearms on me or in my vehicle. I’m a law abiding citizen. Only law abiding citizens get asked that in blue regions while only people with criminal records get asked that in red regions. Go figure.

Yea I haven’t gotten pulled over since I was 21 that was the last time. They always ask if there any guns weapons or drugs in the vehicle I think it’s a state law but don’t quote me on that one

Yes, four times while living and working in America, all were deputy sheriffs; all were cool about it as I had my CCW with me, I came to know two of them quite well as we used the same range for practice, they found it amusing that I as a Brit could out-shoot 90% of others using the same range.

Fair I think is a state law where they ask if there firearms in the vehicle it happened to be when I was 21 I’ve since moved form Puyallup (it’s slightly east of Tacoma) and was going a little to fast he ended up giving me a ticket for speeding he couldn’t do anything about the guns since they were all legal.

Yea I’m beginning to think it’s a state law (never actually looked this up). Every time I got pulled over (which hasn’t been since I was 21). They asked me if I had and drugs or weapons in the vehicle. I’ve gotten a lot of response like this even those who have gotten pulled over with guns in the car coming out of the shooting range i I did and the cop never asked so I’m wondering if it’s a state law thing

This happened to me in the late 80s. They didn't typical ask questions like that then.

The trend of asking my be a safety thing. There may also be some legal reason, maybe something like due process. I doubt if the law actually requires something like that though.

Yea I was straight up honest only got the spending ticket he did check to make sure all the guns where Secure and it only turned out to be a 100$ fine due to speeding he even admitted the scope I have on my 270 and wished his department offered such good of scopes.

I’ve always found that it’s always good to be honest I spoke to the cops one time after I tired d calling about an public maintenance issue they happened to be at the stop sigh within 1 minutes of trying to call non-emergency services asked me what was wrong did the usual questions in that case I was carrying about an eighth of weed and a sixpack of beer (I’m in Washington state so weed is legal) they asked me if I was high or drunk to which i said I will be in a few minutes but you got a a broken sprinkler and I was calling to make sure they said he knew about it, After which the deputy decide to go over to the broken span clear and try to screw it back on and they got soaked. I wish I was lying because you can’t make this shit up Beyond that it was a Friday they said have a good night and I drove home

Lawyers warned speaking to cops when questioned. Never let a cop into your house or car or touch anything that's yours if you know it's not legal for him to do it.

There are „duty to inform“ states (currently 14), where you have to inform the law enforcement officer about weapons in the car without being explicitly asked. Failure to do so are punishable infractions and might get your license revoked.

It was my yearly sighting in the rifles modern weapon here fine with a few adjustments the muzzleloading black powder always are terrible I own 5 guns sold my.270 and one of my shot guns I need to get a new hunting rifle but she wasn’t getting use to I sold her to someone who would appreciate her more

Small town called goldendale Washington a deer is common thing we have black bears running through town that was a posted on everything goldendale that happened a couple months ago unfortunately I can’t find it but that’s normal occurrence in my town. Last year we had a mountain lion that killed some small dogs and a couple deer and some cats and she was found hiding under someone’s porch. We’re talking about Country country here.
