Why is the eu defence pact so important for germany?

Why do they support the eu defence pact so much in germany? and the same with poland, holland and spain. Poland makes sense cause Poland is close to Russia so if russia were to do anything, they would have nato behind them. But why germany? and why holland and spain?

Anything Germany does in regards to military spending or policy, Holland follows. For some reason, even some parts of the Dutch military (which apparently exists) is actually under German command. Germany itself is taking the deteriorated condition of European military readiness more seriously than most, in part because they've been a historical buffer to Russia, but also because they don't want the USA to relocate the bulk of its Europe-posted forces to Poland, which Trump and most serious strategists proposed due to the fact Poland is now the closer allied country to Russia.

Spain is a weird one because despite being one of the stronger militaries in Europe, and currently active in I think 18 different operations right now, you almost never hear about any of it. That's largely because they only commit about a company+ worth of personnel to each one (120-240), and also because it's mainly in the Mediterranean and Africa.

Germany, Holland and France are founding members of the EU, Spain is just as important, though Poland and Hungary are problem members.

Russia has little to do with the EU's workings, and hasn't been a problem since the USA started interfering in the UK and EU.

I Saw some statistics which showed that Holland, Lolland and germany was the contries who was the most positive about the EU defence pact and i was wondering Why that is.

Because these countries are also really close to russia. And the EU is united so if one member of the EU is attacked, the other EU members will come to their aid.

In general it was considered impossible to get another war on the european continent, but the russian attacked on Ukraine proved them wrong, now with the fear the EU countries are bringing their military up to standard again.

Before the russian attack, germany had one functioning attack helicopter and half a tank.

All of Europe is in play for Putin with Chinese backing. All of Asia is in play for Xi with Russia backing. Communism is making its global march... in the USA too.+
