Did Biden's scolding help?

Biden gave a good scolding to the bad dangerous Republicans who are a threat to democracy.

He talked for 44 minutes (one minute about burnpits and 43 minutes about the danger posed by the Republicans and the horrible man Donald Trump)

Do you think it helped? Will the dangerous Republicans be better people from now? Maybe even become democrats?

A couple of things that bothered me about his speech:

Before, he said "There are not many REAL republicans anymore." Then later in his speech, he changed his tune by saying "Not every Republican, not even the majority."

So he's either lying, or just talking out of his ass to sound "moderate" when he needs to be.

He also made a weird comment about white supremacists being against things "made in America." I don't know why he said that. I always thought the white supremacists were nationalists and were all about that kind of stuff.

Also, in your second line, you didn't say "dangerous Republicans" that time. Did your mask slip there? :P

And finally, what exactly IS the "MAGA philosophy" about?

Because if I'm not mistaken, not every conservative necessarily supports Donald Trump, but they agree with the idea of "Make America Great Again," which was a slogan taken from Ronald Reagan of 1980.

So... that's something to think about.

I think the speech made by Pedo Peter with a Hitler/Mao/Palpatine aesthetic has only galvanized the resolve of the half of the population he has declared war on to resist him. By sending dog whistles to his brownshirts that it is time to ride, after demonstrating they are immune to prosecution the last time, this divisive rhetoric delivered for the purpose of fomenting civil conflict constitutes an impeachable offense. Not that I think heels up Harris will be any better, as she has twice the plot armor that Obama did, and is demonstrably not above using it. May whatever is in the clouds have mercy on all of us when Harris is impeached as well and McConnel becomes president.

@Jamie05rhs she won’t be speaker once this all plays out. These things take time. At the earliest impeaching Biden and Harris would be March-April, and the red tidal wave would long since have installed GOP candidates in congress by that point which is what would make the first two impeachments possible. At present yes but the votes to impeach aren’t there yet.

Actually, no. I take that back. Even if Biden is impeached, he won't be removed from office. The votes aren't there (no matter what electoral scenario you're looking at for this fall.)

@Jamie05rhs His own part has been signaling they want the albatross cut off their neck for a while now. Especially after more recent events. I have to assume it’s possible there are some Democrats who could put the interests of keeping their access to the fat of the land available, if not necessarily the good of the nation, and do the right thing. Items star has sung so low within his own party not much, because association with him has already cost people careers. Fair enough with McCarthy though.

Yep. Well, they didn't even want Biden to begin with. He was just the only candidate who they thought would appeal to the "moderate" voters enough to win the general election.

It was a divisive. And the purpose of his speech was about trying to spike more of his supporters to vote in the midterms. It was not a speech meant for Americans. It was focused on his base for political reasons. He forgot that promised to be the moderate president who will unite the country. I'm sure no one believed that, but look at what he's doing. Dividing us even further. And the raid of Mar-a-Lago brought more people to support Trump because the democrats came up to some kind of agreement with the FBI. Same for censoring the Hunter Biden story from New York Post claiming it was Russian misinformation.
