My aunt has a sixteen year old son, so he's old enough for the vax. Problem is, he has rapid heart beat sometimes, and she read that the vaccine causes heart problems in young men and doesn't want him getting it. And now he's kinda nervous to get it too. How can I convince both of them that the shot is harmless, and won't kill him?
+1 yI majored in history, and I laugh about how easily so many people have overnight gone back to Medieval ways of thinking about viruses. Up until the 19th Century before you could see viruses under a microscope the prevailing theory about the causes of viruses was called Miasma, which was described as an "evil foul smelling wind" that would strike you from anywhere.
Covid 19 hasn't even killed more than 0.1% of the world population, but The Black Death was so bad that statistically at least one person in your family knew someone who died from it. If you ask most people they don't even know off the top of their head of a friend of a friend that died of Covid.
But, if you quote statistics to someone, especially if they're extremely left of center who thinks their emotions are more important than scientific facts they start screaming things such as "Well I still don't want to take the risk of being that 0.1%!" Again they think it's just everywhere, and gonna get them like it came out of the air like that Medieval Miasma theory.
In spite of that it's well known that sunlight kills the virus rather quickly, and that even in absence of sunlight the virus doesn't stay alive on surfaces more than 45 minutes.
The worst tragedy though is how it's destroyed a lot of trust between the doctor patient relationship. Before Covid what would do? You went to a doctor, and he'd say okay I will try you on this drug, and if that doesn't work we'll try you on another drug or just combine the treatment with something else. But, big pharma, and the medical establishment said no, you can't do it that way during Covid. Why? If you ask the majority of people that wanted to take drugs other than the vaccine many of them wanted to combine it with the vaccine, but they weren't allowed to do that. If a doctor suggested multiple combination of the vaccine, and maybe Ivermectin they'd be fired. In the end it was about profit margins and politics not facts.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yYou can't. I don't trust the jab either, there's absolutely nothing that anybody could tell me that would convince me by now, because of the things I've seen.
Not only based on what I've seen from conspiracy sites or whatever, I don't read or watch those anyway, before anybody says that I just listened to Karen on facebook.
It was more based on things I saw in mainstream media, the way the average pro-vaxxer would argue,
I'll explain the reasons why, in no particular order.
While people like yourself acted as though catching Covid was a near-guaranteed death sentence, even with the original wave there was an average 99.8% survival rate. The people dying from it were people with compromised immune systems, obese people, and old people. I never saw a need to have one personally,
I caught it, I was fine. Mild symptoms, just like most people. I also tested positive another time with no symptoms. That's why we all wore masks isn't it? To stop the asymptomatic spread, because it was a virus so deadly that most of us could have it without even realising it.
Then came the bullshit about natural immunity. They said that catching it didn't give us natural immunity, which goes against immunology 101. I mean, literally the way a vaccine works is by introducing a strain of a virus to the immune system so that the immune system learns how to destroy it. The exact same thing happens when you catch something and survive because your immune system just figured out how to destroy it. This was a blatant lie. Then later of course studies came out that showed that natural immunity is a real thing.
Next is the idea of herd immunity, the idea that we all have to get vaccinated so that we don't get the virus to protect others. At first the pro-vaxxers said that they prevent you from catching it, another lie, which they're now pretending they never claimed because that's just not what happens at all anyway. Alright, so, how do antibodies work? They're created when you catch the virus, when it's inside your body. If it's inside your body and you're experiencing no symptoms lets say for you because you're vaccinated, your antibodies are working - you're an asymptomatic carrier now. Remember asymptomatic spread? This is another blatant manipulation tactic. The only reason to take the vaccine would be if you believe that it will help you personally to fight it off, not others.
So there's all that nonsense. Then you dig into the history of the manufacturers of the vaccine, and you can easily find cases where each of these companies have been given very large fines for bribing medical professionals and scientists, lying about the safety of their products. These companies have made tens of billions through the "pandemic", and they're clearly willing to lie and to pay people a cut of those huge profits.
Some people are saying that they should talk to their doctors. Same doctors that were being paid per shot they gave, and would lose their medical license if they spoke against the vaccines?
I could keep going on and on here, but the issue is trust. We don't trust medical professionals on this at all, they've made so many claims and then back-tracked, blatantly lied etc. Now there are young people everywhere "dying suddenly" from bloot clots and heart attacks and they're blaming everything but the vaccine - in one article last December I even saw a warning about how Christmas trees might cause heart attacks. Crazy shit. And apparently, doctors are baffled, of course they are. This is why there's no changing anybody's minds.

+1 yYou don't know that, people with preexisting conditions can be heavily effected. Vaccines are medicines and just like any medicine has side effects that people respond to differently. There's been plenty reports of people having these different , negative effects but people refuse to listen cause media immediately labels any complaints as conspiracy, antivax, antivaxxers. Some people did experience Myocarditis and some have died, some experienced nothing.
He needs to consult with his doctor about this first and decide what's best for him and his health. I took the vaccine but not by choice, personally I'm fine but I still caught covid twice while some never caught it once. It's very strange how that works.

Studies show that taking the vaccine reduces the risks of you catch COVID. You are correct about the risks of any medication. Reading the leaflets with mine, (5 pills am, 7 pills pm and an injection weekly) I've been taking risks every day. However, not taking them or the COVID jabs, I would probably be dead. As you say, all we can do is take medical advice, do our homework and then decide. As far as I know, I've escaped COVID.🤞

@Jenny-Marie I took the shot and so did many of my coworkers. Had a coworker catch it 3 times back to back. I just wish people wouldn't see it as some invisible shield that suddenly makes them invincible. You can still very much get sick and catch it at anytime.. it really just depends. Someone can be around others and never catch it while some took all the precautions and still catch it.

The problem with death reports is that they're not reviewed. I can see my friend get a vaccine and then two days later get hit by a car and die. He died after getting the vaccine. That's the veracity of the reports of death after the vaccine. None have been reviewed and stood up to be caused by the vaccine.

Because the clot shot is a cult. Its failure leads to a moral and existential dilemma. It means all the cruelty and tyranny enabled worldwide leading up to this vaccine salvation narrative was for nothing. And now everyone they victimized in the name of crushing resistance to this end will be their judge in eternity.
+1 yFirst of all, no one knows if the vaccine is safe. So convince people at your own risk.
What are the long term effects of an mRNA vaccine? After 5 years? After 10 years? 20, 30 and 40 years?
The answer is that NO ONE KNOWS.
There have been vaccines and other medications in the past that have caused serious, life threatening health problems DECADES after they were taken.
So anyone who tells you with complete confidence that the vaccine is "safe," is either ignorant, lying or stupid.
Secondly, I would NEVER have my 16 year old son, who has ANY kind of heart issue take the vaccine. It is KNOWN to have potential heart issues in young men. You are taking a serious risk giving it to someone when we don't even understand what the particular mechanism is that causes those effects.
So how do you convince them it is "harmless?" Unless you are ignorant, a liar or stupid, you shouldn't. Don't try to convince people of things you don't even know yourself.

+1 yYou can't. There has been some evidence of inflammation of the heart in young men. If he has heart problems, he might NOT be a candidate for the vaccine. But ONLY HIS DOCTOR or heart specialist can decide on this.
Have these people talk to the boy's primary physician or heart specialist and get THEIR OPINIONS. THEY are the MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS.
You cannot know how safe the vaccine is for this boy as you don't know his entire medical history and have not been treating him for his heart palpitations. If he has some underlying heart condition, he would NOT be a sure candidate for the vaccine.
Urge her to not avoid the vaccine, but to SEE THEIR PHYSICIAN and get DOCTORS" opinions on his suitability for the shots.
30 Reply 6.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. And how do you know it’s harmless and won’t kill him? Are a medical professional? Have you studied and analyzed the makeup of the vaccine and what’s in it? Or how it’ll react to his body or any health issues he may have?
The answer is you don’t because it’s an experimental vaccine that was rushed and lacks adequate human testing and long term testing. On top of that no one knows what exactly is in it or what the long term effects of taking it are down the line.
Also it is known to potentially cause heart issues in young men with heart conditions.
And it’s not your job or place to “convince” someone to take a vaccine. That’s their choice not yours.

The whole Covid thing was handled so poorly right across the world pondering to the love of Micro Biologists , Im 4 times vaxed , but you will never convince me its " safe " , its simply NOT safe , the best form of attack is a functional immune system , for this to occur you need exposure , lock downs - DONT WORK , removing liberty DOES NOT WORK , you need a good functional immune , vaccination did nothing for me , I did it because I was basically forced via circumstance.
The handling of this thing is the disgrace , not big pharma making a plethora out of nothing , my nearly 90 year old mother in law is unvaxed , as fit as a fiddle , entire thing was/ is a JOKE.

10 Reply413 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Vaccines are made by basically the roasted dead leftovers of a virus. And how you can convince them to get it well to naturally be vaccinated your taking a risky bet that you will of course have to ya know... SURIVIVE the intial infection which either you are asymptomatic and have little to mild side effects. Or you get the really other side of things the nasty bowel churning, fever and epic cough that feels like your in a personal echo chamber with phlem.
The thing about taking the vaccine is well you have a significantly higher chance of a basic flu reaction. Where as not taking it can land you in the ICU under hospital arrest and dying alone.00 Reply5.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Any and every vaccine ever uses castrated strains of a virus. This causes the immune system to respond to attack. With that attact order valuable information is gathered to attack again even stronger before its a problem again.
So if you have that heart problem you need that vaccine because the actual virus is going to be 10x worse. The only time the vaccine is worse then the virus is when your immune system is compromised. Basically when you need plasma donations on a regular basis.
Ironmouse is a really cute vtuber with a compromised immune disorder that talks about it.
Then there's times when people are allergic to vaccines. Your protected from a deadly disease but your throat is closing shut is more dangerous. With both immune system compromised and allergic to the vaccine the entirety of everyone else in the 99% need to get the vaccine to protect ourselves and protect who cannot protect themselves.

In a society where intelligence is more valuable for the survival of the species, covid killing the people who don't take advantage of a FREE solution that will keep you from the worst affects of the disease is simply boiling down to survival of the species. People too dumb to believe the peer reviewed scientific studies saying the jab is relatively harmless, and then catch covid and die is just survival of the fittest in the 21st century.
For the record, this is where we messed up, we used our intelligence to extend and expand life, but we also made rules to prevent the natural course of things when the less fit make less fit decisions. By this I mean we use intelligence to create cars to improve quality of life, we use intelligence to create seat belts to mitigate the danger, but then we create laws so those not intelligent enough to use seatbelts aren't culled from the herd when they get into an accident. Just my opinion.

Yes, well not letting viruses run their course, and allowing herd immunity to develop means that more people survive, but more people are also fighting for fewer resources. Thus, there's really more suffering in the long run. If not for The Black Death killing so many people there wouldn't have been a development of labor saving technology, and a questioning of the status quo that led to golden ages of discovery such as The Renaissance, and Enlightenment, "... We used our intelligence to extend and expand life, but we also made rules to prevent the natural course of things when the less fit make less fit decisions."

As many as needed since the virus is mutating. It seems to be something that might turn into a yearly thing similar to a flu shot. It's not going to be eradicated like other viruses seemingly so we need to adapt it. Its nothing to LOL about. It's just a vaccine it's not something evil. Try to remember a virus isn't political. People make it that way. I think it's roughly 1 and 300 something Americans have died of COVID so far. Also, don't get the shot if you don't want to. I can't wait to get the new booster because I have severely compromised family members, one of which was on a ventilator for weeks before the vaccine was created. I like knowing that it can help me and others. It's time to get over the idea that the vaccine is horrible or doesn't work because you're wrong. You can have a wrong opinion and no one else cares. Live your life and be safe.

It doesn't seem to matter.
My wife and I had it this spring, as well as 9 other people at the station, and we are both vaxed and boosted.
Our friends who are not vaxed she had it, he didn't get it.
One of our medics has had it 6 times and he is vaxed.
Just no rhyme or reason to it.
Our medical control doctor told us that like a cold it is a virus, and that it is Sars which they can't make a vaccine for because it constantly morphs into a new strain.
So by the time they get a vaccine out for it, it has already changed into something else rendering what they just developed ineffective, just like covid.
They are now on the 4th booster I think.
But it goes back to your comfort level.
Do what makes you feel comfortable and safe.

Pretty much. I was lucky enough to get to stop by the Convoy that was blocking up the DC beltway for weeks just to give them an idea of what would happen if they did that.
I think they know truckers won't cave. It's a losing battle for them. They require Vax passports to deliver food and they'd have a nationwide trucker protest to put the Canadian one to shame. And man... most people don't like it when they don't eat.
Even the sheep would say look, we gotta let them deliver the groceries and toilet paper Vax or no Vax. It's all about power. Trying to force it on the truck drivers would have grenaded their whole game.
When the 100 employees or more mandate fell in the Supreme Court, the trucker one was pretty much just forgotten about. But I think it was a huge win for us.
They are doing everything they can to make trucking hard because that's how you control the resources and drive up inflation. The Washington swamp wants inflation. Taxes are a percentage of every transaction. Inflation goes up, taxes go up. The 30 trillion dollar debt stays the same.
Inflation goes down, people can afford the resources they need to do things themselves and they will quit voting Democrat.
But it's one of those things where they can harass us but everyone knows what will happen if they go too far. You piss people off enough to stop the trucks, no one eats, fills their tank, builds a houes, or wipes their ass till we turn the trucks back on.
And we're used to going without all that. We'll be the last ones to break. 🤣
What happened was they realized that. They saw what happened in Canada and India and they decided to go shake their stick at someone else. - +1 y

@Lost_in_the_Woods My part-time weekend job is retail gun sales. I can tell you EXACTLY who they shook their stick at next.

I don't doubt it.
I was phase one. March of 2020 they busted my door in, dragged me out in handcuffs without a warrant, locked me up in a state psyc hospital where I saw them give people drugs that turned them into the walking dead, but I have been through some shit, I stayed calm and didn't give them any excuses.
The doctors said there obvious wasn't anything wrong with me and they would have me out of there in a day or two. Then they avoided me for almost a month. Ran test after test after test, someone falsified the medical records the minute they were entered and I know because the idiots were dumb enough to send me both copies.
Eventually they let me go but I lost my job at Walmart and my right to own a gun because I was "involuntary committed to a psychiatric hospital" and they refused to give me the paperwork Walmart needed to call it a medical absence.
They never had a trial. Say I couldn't meet with a lawyer because of covid.
I worked for 17 months to appeal, court appointment attorney closed my case without presenting any evidence and the judge said he spoke on my behalf. I had almost 100 pages of medical records, proof they were falsified. Police reports and proof they were falsified... still have it all. But what good is evidence if they don't let you show it too the judge?
They denied me unemployment, said I quit voluntarily.
Fuck em, I didn't want to work at Walmart. Worked my ass off to get to CDL school. They literally had the cops waitig outside befoee i knew where the building was, threw me out without give me a reason and kept the $4500. - +1 y
Found a company to send me to school, greyhound threw me off the bus saying i was a suspected terrorist. Left me stranded in some small town in Kentucky 12 hours from home. Still made it to school on time in Colorado. They said a week after I got there that the company had decided to send me home and didn't give me a reason.
The guys who ran the school knew. I didn't have to tell them. They said pay them what I could and gave me a T-shirt with the license for being top of the class. The guy who founded the school died just before I took the test. I wish I got the chance to shake his hand and thank him but he signed my certificate and you bet your ass I'll buy a frame for it.
I'm still fighting them for the $40,000 in unemployment and keeping the evidence of what they did to me. I'm sure I won't see the money. But someone has to do it.
They picked the wrong guy to fuck with. My dad used to work for the DoD. He told me it's not worth my life. But shit, I'd rather die than be a slave. I am too smart to put my safety before my freedom.
Of course everyone else was too busy with covid. The DLCVA and ACLU said they had heard thousands of stories just like mine but there was nothing they could do.
I try to stay out of VA. I caught someone in a shiny late model Cadillac watching my house a few times. Took my story to the news but you bet they didn't call me back. - +1 y
For me, it's just a good way to know my plan is as good as I think it is. I've been working on building houses out of old refer trailers. Think I can deliver them with appliances for around 30k. Grid power, propane or gasoline generators. Tanks or wells. Any semi can up and move the whole house for a few dollars a mile.
Because if people didn't have to pay rent and mortgages, they wouldn't have to work so dam hard. But I didn't realize when I came up with the plan that would take a huge chunk out of Walmart, Amazon, McDonald's and the IRS.
They use that rent to keep people in line and doing what they are told.
No way our government made the plan to bust up thousands of innocent people and mess their minds up with drugs in three months. They planned the whole fucking thing. Covid was just to keep the masses busy.
And some people think that sounds crazy, but wait till they bust your door in without a warrant or a reason. - +1 y
They don't want people to own a home or have a way to defend it.
But the truth is they are losing this fast.
You saw the lady from California asking "is it true that red states don't even have to sit in the dark and eat cold beans?"
I grew up trying to get Obama elected. I didn't understand how wrong I was until I started trying to build affordable houses.
Someone else wakes up every day. And they can take my right to own a gun, but they can't stop someone else from lending me one or make me forget the training I got from an Olympic target shooter.
I'm not afraid of the government. I'm more afraid of slavery than I am of death.
They think they have an army. But, just wait till they find out those guys signed up to protect their families from tyrants and aren't afraid to die for it. - +1 y
@Lost_in_the_Woods Well damn. I know a bit about getting screwed by the government but not as badly as you do!

Look up Bill Gates and his connection to the event 201 wargames
- +1 y
I didn't think that stuff could happen here. But they did it to me long before they did it to Trump or his team.
I just want to let people know it's not just politicians, they have been doing that to regular people for years now. And far worse than taking our documents. One shot and people were like zombies. No emotions, no motivation, just totally apathy and a blank stare.
I know it sounds like a sci-fi but shit, welcome to the future.
I don't know anything about 201 wargames though. will look into that.
I know Bill gates isn't buying up all the farms to save the planet. He's a computer guy, not a farmer. But when the rich have all the land, a robot tractor, self driving truck and and a mechanical chef... they won't need poor people anymore. We'll just be taking up space and resources.
Be a shame if the next pandemic he always talks about killed us all because they kept the real vaccines to themselves.

+1 yYou don't. That isn't your responsibility and you don't know for certain. Even if you got it and didn't have a reaction nothing is 100%

00 Reply648 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Well, in a way, you can't. Just let them see themselves. They'll see they're fine for now... or they're not until one dies due to covid. They'll believe what they wanna believe.

+1 yUnfortunately I don't think people can be convinced at this point. There might be a few percentage like 1 or 2 percent that can be swayed. If you haven't gotten it yet you're just not comfortable getting it or you don't think you need it.

How in the hell am I a communist for wanting my cousin to be safe from a disease that's killed millions? I will never understand why so many Americans made a disease about politics.
1.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It has killed over 20,000 people as of January 2022. The vaccine is NOT safe for many people. It killed one healthy man that I personally knew and it has permanently injured my aunt and uncle.

I’d love to see the stats on this
- +1 y
@JessicaEarl It was statistics on the CDC's own website as of the end of January 2022.
In addition, according to their own statistics at that point, only just over 48,000 died exclusively from covid in the USA. The rest had heart disease, diabetes, cancer, etc.
Firstly, this bioweapon isn't safe. The amount of "sudden and unexpected" deaths is cause for concern. Moreover, the amount of blood clots detected and removed from patients who took the bioweapon isn't a good sign.
00 Reply4.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The vaccine is absolutely not safe and you should not take it.

+1 yWell, lately we are finding out that it *doesn't work*, at least no better than the "flu shots" they offer every fall.
00 Reply Let's be honest if you haven't had a Covid shot you're an irresponsible moron.
There's nothing more to be added.
00 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Why should you? Haven't you learned by now that that thing is completely worthless, and is just a risk in itself. So you are better of without it.
