People of colour: how often do your friends comment on your ethnicity?

This may be a weird question, but how often do you have your friends or strangers comment on your race as a person of colour? Is it normal if people bring it up a lot in conversation to you?

I'm mixed so kinda "of colour" lol. And not often, my friends don't care about that sort of thing.

Half NZ Maori male here.
Some Pakeha (Pakeha is a Maori term for the white inhabitants of New Zealand) will ask if I'm Maori.
Other Maori will ask my Iwi and Hapu (Tribe and sub-tribe) which is a far more appropriate question.
