Why do people blame Jews for the Russian Revolution of 1917?

Jews are not to blame but like the German revolution of 1918 a large disproportionate number of Jews were involved and like the failures of the Weimar Republic in Germany a disproportionate amount of Jews were in leadership postions all of which the nazis used to great effect.

What was to blame for the 1917 revolution in Russia was centuries of bad governance and harsh rule so bad by the ruling elites that the ordinary peasents felt they had nothing to lose and of course the futility of WW1 which basically created the perfect storm for revolution of conscripted, trained and armed huge peasant armies unhappy with having to fight the Tzar's war against his German cousin when their families were starving, they were starving and they were badly lead by aristocratic leaders who had no clue of what they were doing. The same pattern repeated itself all over Europe with the British monarchy the only real survivor to this day.

Unfortunately, some people who hate Jews do blame us (it's happened here on GAG). Anti-Semitism has been around for a long time and people don't a price for it, so that's a good part of the reason why. Ignorance of history is also part of it.

Because the majority of Bolsheviks were of Jewish decent who hated ethnic Russians.
