The US military is a good option for any youngster. Free housing, free college, free medicare, free healthy food, free fitness training. You've so many options coming out of the military after serving because they've trained you up for free as electricians, lorry drivers, plumbers, pilots, mechanics, engineers, welders etc. Even just serving in the National Guard part time. It's not like it was in from ww2 to Vietnam where you are given a rifle and 6 months of training and sent as a front line infantry man. Most military roles now are non combat and though everyone may at some stage be required to serve as a basic infantryman on patrols and guard duty its generally unlikely.

I served in the military in my early 20s during the war on terror. It was safer than being in the city I grew up in. What I remember was that I never are better, I never had as much money in my pocket, I never ate better, I was never fitter and I never had as much sex in my life even on deployment. Women serving in the military on deployment were like 2 to every 10 men and being bored they were always looking for sex even married women, sometimes a different guy every night or week, sometimes different guys in the same day, sometimes multiple guys at the same time. Was a married airman and she was super hot and she let my entire platoon run a train on her one after the other in our barracks. I remember coming home on deployment and still in my uniform picking up gorgeous airline stewardesses and passengers in the airport bar and f*cking them all night. Same when I got back to bases in the states. Plenty of army wives and ex wives looking dick, plenty of daughters of military personnel looking dick. Was sent on a training exercise at a marine base and got into trouble when a marine colonel got back from deployment found out I had been sticking it to his 16 year old daughter every night and she was pregnant. I was mad about her anyhow even married her though it didn't work out between us mostly because I was young and there was all this available sex with other women. Still mad about her though years after though I've settled down with another woman.

Anyhow I left the military and was able to get a college education, even if I hadn't done that there were options open to me because I had served and had used every opportunity to train and get various licences and skills, tool college courses etc and when I went to college I worked night shifts as a security guard and did my studying and college work there while getting paid. I was also able to buy a house while in thd military.

probably. historically, countries with the reserve currency need a strong military and especially Navy and Air power now. If can't find or force others to work for cheap and lose the power to print money, then ya end up living at lessor wealth level.

Most of those eligible for the draft are too obese for military service. The US military spends about a year getting new recruits into shape eating right and slowly building up their fitness to avoid injuries.

It's unlikely because there are almost 2 million American volunteers under arms, then if you consider there's probably at least 20-30 ex military veterans fit for service that could be recalled in an emergency and would be recalled b4 any raw 18-22 untrained recruit. If needed the draft would happen just like it did in Vietnam the difference being that you are less likely to avoid the draft. In Vietnam despite all the protests the draft couldn't be stopped.

Avoided it sure but the required amount of men were drafted regardless. So when Bill Clinton avoid the draft some other poor bastard went in his place. In 2022 with modern technology it wouldn't be so easy to dodge the draft, anyone that helps you dodge it or even speaks out against it may be audited by the IRS & their bank accounts shut down or even incarcerated by homeland security.
