For mid-terms, Abortion rights, easily. Not much would change as far as other policies whichever ways it goes. Rather, I see this midterm as a referendum against everything Republicans stand for on reproductive rights.
I didn't plan on participating in this mid-term season because I didn't have strong opinions on my representatives. But after what the Supreme Court did, I thought "OK but state lawmakers would have to enact the changes. Good luck with that one."
And then they started passing law after law that seemed to be written by ISIS. Death sentences for abortions? Literal bounties on those who have gotten abortions? Made me wonder why these people were so obsessed about "sharia law coming to the US". It sounds like that's exactly what they wanted to begin with.
So yeah, the only thing that kept them from showing how draconian they are was that it was simply illegal for them to be worse. Now they regularly talk of revoking gay marriage rights in the Supreme Court. And a rising talking point with Republican officials is establishing the US as "non-democratic" and a Christian theocracy.
Like goddamn, why build a wall? The people coming in are clearly more patriotic than the ones complaining about them. Let them in and deport the others.
I’m not sure why it’s so hard to understand for so many people that many, obviously not all, but many of the issues given as options are downstream from immigration. Enough so that if the election had to be about a single issue, which it never should be, that you could put the most emphasis on that one issue and clearing that up would affect everything downstream from it. And before the comment section starts giving me crap, let me be clear. Immigration is not a race though certain US political parties are trying to fuse immigrant and a specific racial group which says more about them than anybody else. Immigration is an economic issue. Immigration is a healthcare issue. Immigration is a real estate issue. Immigration is a price of food issue. Immigration is an education issue. And let’s face it overcrowding, scarcity, and competition lead to crime issues.
Thanks for MHO
I know this has nothing to do with the question but how is that whole tornado hurricane thing? Is everything okay at your location?
Yep.
Reminded, again, today. 1000% healthcare.
Pathetic. Systems needs burning to the ground.
One of the biggest problems is that the regime figured out how easy it is to manipulate the healthcare system by throwing gobs of money that isn’t theirs edit to get it to do and behave the way they want it to. The needs and plans of the regime are Significantly far a field of the needs and plans of the general population actually using the healthcare system, so that is going to cause some unavoidable friction when the needs of the people spending the tax dollars they extract from you at gunpoint conflict with the needs of the actual end users. The people who make the nations healthcare systems decisions, can afford private on call care and have likely never seen the inside of a public hospital.

What concerns me most is the United States is no longer UNITED. There's so much hate, distrust, and polarization that we look at each other as the enemy. There are so many Americans who believe in lies and conspiracies, and don't even bother to investigate for themselves. I saw one Trump supporter going on about how 9/11 was all Obama's fault, because he was playing too much golf and was never doing his job. REALLY? Obama wasn't even in the White House when 9/11 happened, but you can't argue with this Trump guy,. He sticks to his own beliefs, no matter how jacked-up they are.
I plan on voting STRAIGHT Democrat. The Democrats are kinda dumb, and wander in eight directions at once, but they're nowhere NEAR as evil as the MAGA Republicans, or those coward Republicans who won't stand up to the MAGA bullies.
I like how you recognize that treating your fellow Americans with hate, distrust and as the enemy is wrong… and then end your post saying Republicans are evil.
The right thinks the left are confused, easily manipulated and misguided. The left thinks the right are evil and terrible people.
I’m not sure whether to laugh or face palm at someone contradicting themselves in the same post. You are making and proving your point simultaneously.
At this point, it's actually not so much policy as attitude: my primary concern is being willing to work with the "other side". It took a hell of a lot of struggle and sacrifice to get the world to the point where we could even HAVE a legitimately meritocratic democracy, and the degree to which anyone succeeded at that is highly debatable. The last two and a half years have shown us- me probably more than most- just how fragile it actually is. It can, and, if we're not careful, WILL break.
Stepping back from the insanity is going to require that people be willing to look past their differences and work together- we used to be able to do that, but it got lost somewhere along the line. If it can't be recovered, we're already lost, and given that American military and economic strength is pretty much the only thing keeping the world from one another's throats, if the Pax Americana fails, nothing else really matters.
Economy, even though it won't change with republicans in office either because the cause of the bad economy was from Biden stopping drilling permits for oil in the USA and in the Gulf of Mexico. It was done with an executive order so it will likely stay this bad until after 2024.
Ballot stuffing and harvesting. I am getting set up to supervise and heavily light each one of these ballot boxes that have no supervision so that I can photograph the people that use them and make sure that we had an honest election in my district
Definitely inflation. I can't believe the prices I'm seeing. I cut back on what I eat because some products are just too expensive now. And my organization is refusing to give raises. I am looking for a new job now because this is crazy.
I'm not a single issue voter. Also I investigate politicians histories. Such as voting history, public views on my policies of concern, actions they've taken.
1. Economy/jobs
2. Crime
3. Illegal immigration
That's my top 3
The economy is most important topic. More important, I plan to vote for candidates who are willing to work with others... to get things done.
@exitseven I don't always vote for every office. If I don't like any of the candidates, I don't vote for that office. Some may say I'm wasting my vote... I think otherwise.
Economy, inflation is my biggest concern. Then crime and illegal immigration.
A - the economy. Inflation, taxes, jobs and the future.
Definitely A, but healthcare is also very important too
Big government. A government that can do anything for y0ou can also take everything from you.
This is absolutely true, but also likely one of the most misunderstood aspects of a Proto socialist regime making its move. The group of what Stalin aptly named useful idiots who are cheering the Proto socialist government to become an actual socialist government often only realize as they’re being strapped down to the shooting wall that once their utility is gone, so are they.
Yes I economy would be one of the bases that I would consider to vote on. The other part will have to be on integrity and loyalty.
Standing up to the Democrats' thirst for power and control.
I wish I was non-american and then Cross the Rio grande and get hooked up with shelter, Free health insurance and welfare etc thanks to the liberal democratic welcoming committee. GOD BLESS AMERICA 😂😂
I am a healthcare professional, so of course I voted for healthcare
economy and immigration since that effects immigration and National debt
Big government getting bigger and bigger irrespective of whether Tweedledee or Tweedledum is in power.
Ideally it would be criminalizing Leftist ideology, but I know we cannot because of the First Ammendment, so I'll vote A
All Republicans kick them damn Democratic traitor out... we want bden out, Harris in, House Republicans or avd Sente Republicans then Harris is a lame duck for 2 years
Our rights under attack, from the right
@DarkWinterNights Because none of its true. you're drinking the rights kool aid
