Do you think beautiful women should be able to get involved in politics?

A female friend and myself were having a conversation about beautiful women in politics.

Her point of view was that beautiful women should not get involved in politics because their beauty will deflect from the cause because most men women be too infatuated with beauty.

An example she gave was Eva Valaardingerbroek who was the face of the Dutch protests this year but my friend girls she used sex appeal to gain personal clout.

She said she is said she can’t get involved in British nationalist politics because of this issue.

I said that I think beautiful women should be allowed in politics and gave examples of people who don’t use it for personal gain.

To say they shouldn’t implies that men are so incredibly weak, they can’t see passed their attraction to focus on business. Nah, they’ll be alright.

@MzAsh It's not about self-control, though. We're not talking about harassing anyone. The issue was people being influenced politically through visual attraction.

Celebrities in general are allowed to have their own beliefs. The issue is that if they share it, especially on stage, it's very likely to sway people to believe it when they would otherwise be indifferent because they idolize those celebrities. If they never shared I don't think we would be as hyper-partisan as we are now.

Women should not get involved in politics. At all. Just that. Women always support whatever the mainstream considers as cool, trendy and socially acceptable. They are too stupid to have their own opinions.
