1 yWell... The Iron Lady of the United Kingdom, Lady Margaret Thatcher, is a good example to the contrary. A conservative and strong-willed woman at the helm might be a good pick. What's far worse, however horrible that might sound, seems to be voting rights for women. The problem is, women naturally seek safety and security, therefore they are more inclined to vote for the left wing that promises to take care of those very aspects, however crazy their other policies might be and whatever freedom might have to be taken to provide this "security". There were also so many cases of women voting for "the handsome candidate" in the presidential elections in Poland, even tipping the scale of at least one election ("the handsome candidate" being the candidate of the former communist party of Poland), that it's become a morbid joke. However, the majority of white women in the USA who have voted in the recent elections having voted for soon-to-be President Donald Trump (at 52%) provides a somewhat intriguing argument to the contrary of my initial statement on voting rights for women. Therefore, I guess... It depends. It is certain that the men of Iran and Afghanistan decided that the women of Iran and Afghanistan were particularly susceptible to then-Western left-wing propaganda and have therefore opted for banning women from voting and indulging in politics in their respective countries. How correct they are is up to debate, but the fact that quite a lot of women in Afghanistan seemed extremely willing to support the US-backed puppet government through their efforts in the media (and yes, no matter whether this US-backed Afghani government was beneficial to the Afghani people or not, it was definitely a puppet government) sure does make the current governments' of Iran and Afghanistan decision likely to be correct.
10 Reply 839 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. religion should have nothing to do with wether or not women should be allowed to be in politics. besides i dont see why qualified women shouldn't be allowed to. it's not a super physical job where women being in it would be a liability, and it's not like, as some uneducated people think, women are low iq hysterical illogical creatures that will nuke the entire earth if they have power. women are scientifically just as intelligent and capable of logical thought as men, so there's no reason to bar them from that job

Nobody should be banned we need more people we need new people we need people that care we need people that will follow the law when they are elected and work for the little people not work for their government buddies the good old boy system because that's all they're doing is there helping each other make money Republicans are in office now now they will all start making money when the Democrats are in office they all start making money and they spend money and all the wrong places we need some new blood

1 yThe real question is who the hell of an idiot did decide women were not able to be efficient in politics, or is it precisely for that reason some consider it a sin? In any case the ladies can't be worse than what men achieve in many countries. No offence meant.
Keep in mind that in countries where women are assigned the traditional role of housewifes, it are precisely those women who know best how to run a household, including the financial side. Running a political department of a country is not that far away from a housewife's competences.

1 yI think the bigger question is should the county be a democracy or a theocracy? If it stays a democratic republic then it doesn't matter what religion says, women aren't part of the country so they have the right to represent and work in their country at every level.

Are* part of the country, obviously lol
1 yNo because that's sexist. No one should be banned from politics based on race and gender. Though I will state, someone entering politics should not be given special treatment because of their race and gender.

1 yWell, no. Women are human beings who have rights like everyone else does. They're allowed to speak on when it comes to political stuff. Same goes with voting, we have that right.
20 Reply This is such a sexist and misogynistic opinion that I doubt you are actually a woman.
Only women in politics could be in a position to change things for the better.

1 yOnly if they're crooked, like Hitlery, Skamala, Nutty Nancy, Mad Maxine, Pocahontas, AOC, and that incredibly ugly broad, what's her name, Jamayahal?

1 yMaybe a nation won’t be as successful but I think going as far to say it will be cursed just because a woman is in charge is a stretch. You must be talking about Buddha or something

1 yNo, well not all of them. Those that support mutilating children should be barred from participating in politics.

I don't think they are faking being a women. From what I observed, they are a woman, but a conservative Muslim woman who believe women shouldn't have the same rights a men.

1 yPolitics just suck generally. Nobody in government gets stuff done because one side wants this, other side is against it. Nobody agrees on anything.

Even Christianity believes women should submit to men's authority. So just say it... you don't believe in any God.
- 1 y
So you just don't believe in what the Bible or Quran says?

Except orthodoxy... and they have an even stricter view of your purpose... almost as much as Muslims

So you follow your own religion?
