I honestly believe that higher turner results in more people that don't know how politics work and are easily manipulated, vote.

I think it's ridiculous to not take part in your government by placing your vote , I also think if you don't vote, don't bitch your part of the problem.
That being said, this last circus was the first election I did not vote for one of the "candidates" . I'm absolutely exhausted trying to pick the lesser of 2 evils, and as for all the idiocy surrounding the election, things need to change, in my (and mine alone) opinion.
1) we need to eliminate the electronic ballot. There's absolutely no need for polling machines to be connected to the internet, if this last election didn't at least demonstrate that then then you need to disconnect for awhile.
2.) everyone votes on same day, of course there are exceptions , overseas military, diplomats, perhaps even privately employed in foreign nations should be able to vote by mail. In an organized fashion.
3.) the whole campaign system needs to be rebuilt so it's less dumb ass "he said she said" tv commercials and more " this is what I stand for", and if they tell us they stand for this we need to put them to task about it. It's our government damn it , they work for us.
Some one needs to figure out what it would cost to cover the country by grey hound and each candidate gets a bus pass and a schedule for debates in major areas of each state. Doesn't have to be everyday every other day perhaps, then in between debates they can meet we the people.

I know these are simplistic ideas from an old man, but things need to change, the countries on fire and no one sees it (those were another's words I am quoting , I'm not certain who, but it's true. Thank you for reading.

Yes. Everyone should vote. I see your point and agree to an extent, but it would be a true reflection of the population. There will always be people uneducated on the issues or the people they are voting for, but I’d bet overall that percentage wouldn’t change much

No. The majority of voters are idiots. Until there are IQ and educational requirements for voting, more is less. It would help to end the party system. Make people actually look at a candidate’s platform rather than knee jerk identifying with their gang symbols. We’ll burn the world to its core ten times over before we stop glorifying ignorance and promoting feelings over facts though.

High voter turnout exposes election fraud. That’s it’s main benefit. You can’t grease an election if everyone shows up to vote. Too many people will be told they already voted which will cause a shit storm of people that are mad that their vote was stolen. Mad people with pitch forks tend to start lopping off heads when they feel cheated.

It's good for Democrats. Most people lean liberal. I've worked on democratic campaigns and am currently working on a Republican campaign. Democrats focus on registering as many people as possible, Republicans focus on limiting the number of people that can register to vote.

Yes. Assuming it's ACTUALLY people turning out to vote, and not dictatorial-style 110% of the population turning out, or Chicago-style 120%. When the candidates feel they actually have to EARN victory, it leads to better results for all of us.
