More migrants = more arrested why is this difficult?

So I often hear below average intelligence individuals mention that the border is so good now in 2022 "because the number of arrests are higher than ever before"

It's true that the number of arrests are at an all time high. But this is because the number of "migrants" is at an all time high.

I don't understand why this isn't self explanatory to people. When more people try to run across the border, more terrorists, pedophiles, drug smugglers, traffickers etc etc etc will also be apprehended. And in turn more of them will try to get across because they can easier try to hide in the masses of people.

It's true that in the Trump years almost Noone got arrested. That's because Noone came. They knew they'd be sent back to Mexico to await their asylum results. So they didn't go to the border. Thusly they didn't get arrested.

Is this really hard for anyone to understand?

Let’s say 100 come. Then 40 get arrested

If 569 come maybe 70 get arrested

Currently we get over 1,500 a day. It’s impossible to arrest 1,500 a day

Impossible to arrest 1500 a day? Arrests along the Mexican border topped 2 million a year for the fiscal year that just ended in September. That's 2 million divided by 365 = 5,479 a day.

That's 5,479 arrests Every Single Day. But you want me to believe 25,000 border agents can't arrest 1,500 cause it's impossible to arrest that many.

I saw today how many illegal aliens have been deported under the Biden Administration. Still, over 3 million have managed end up living here illegally. President Trump had Mexico keep the illegals on their side of the border while they wait for their hearing. As a result they did not bother to come to the border. Biden announced on dsay one that all were welcome and nobody would be deported. President Trump built the wall. There were many who said it would not work. Maybe it is old technology but it was a symbol that our immigration laws will be upheld and they were welcome to apply for citizenship like everyone else but illegal immigrants were not welcome and would be sent back. As a result they stayed home.
