Should immigration be easier or harder?

There’s arguments for both. I sometimes think we could open the borders completely and just hand each person a social security card.

Well, we don’t have all the space on the planet called “Us of A,” to house all 8 billion people on the actual planet.

This may very well be a utopia/ safe haven for many, but just because we do “freedom-done-right” here, doesn’t mean we should let everyone flock to us.

The colonials were wrong for what they did to the native Americans, sure.. but they also did that in part to *break away* from the British (unfair) rule, and if they could do it, surely other countries and their peoples could do similar.

Those who want freedom should be willing to work towards it, instead of simply running from the issues of their own current state of government, or the state of their people.

If they want to come to America for one of our reasons, then those other countries should adopt similar methods, as the American democratic systems, and beliefs.

Personally, I think some people in America should be considered for deportation, while those who believe in freedom, opportunity, and equality should be allowed in, to be certified.

Borders should be strengthened and watched.

America is too good of a country in this day and age to simply have nice shorelines. It should have defenses up, so nothing ruins the good things we have planted here.

The the flow of immigration and emigration should be considered/ monitored, as well. There will always be people who try to sell corruption to Americans, or those who would try to take the land of the free and the home of the brave.

We rule out any signs of dictatorship, and maintain the upper hand on our borders.

Are you talking about the US only or about immigration in general? Because depending on what you're talking about, the answer might be different.

As someone who has been an immigrant for the past 27 years and who wants and needs to immigrate again, I can tell you that immigration is never easy. To me is not a matter of being easy or hard, it's a matter of being fair and organized. There must be some kind of control, but not the kind of control that discriminates. A control that sees who is immigrating with good intentions and who isn't.

That could be a good idea depending on the person's situation, their intentions and their criminal record. Some people are really looking for better life conditions and they're honest and hardworking. While others have bad intentions.

I understand why so many people get in the US illegally, I really do.

I'm very worried how our climate will suffer allowing them in. It will be a drain on our natural resources. I'm for keeping our air and water clean, allowing millions in isn't gonna help. You have AOC preaching abortion of American babies and telling US citizens not to have babies, solely to save our planet, while saying we need illegals to come here and have babies to fill that population void. Both, it should be easier to import skilled worker talent but harder for unskilled.

I know some will disagree because they want companies to be forced to train people those skills rather than import people that already have them.

Is that really a businesses job?

At the same time though, as long as there is millions of people working illegally using a stolen identity or working under the table, that should be addressed first.

Sounds good to me, soon as we deport all the illegals too (including my cousin who blew off her immigration hearing where she was guaranteed to get her green card but didn't think it was important.)

Then as long as they have a job lined up first, should be let in.

As I am half Latina, and my family came here legally, I have no sympathy for those that came here illegally. Even my cousin who's parents brought her here illegally as a child, got their citizenship and was helping her to get hers when she blew it off to hang out with friends. I hope she gets deported.

Your talking about legal immigrants which I fully support and the more skilled someone is, if they get a job lined up that a business will sponsor them after they made a good faith attempt for a few years to fill the position with citizens and have been unable to.

Otherwise, it is all about if they came here legally or not.

The moment someone comes here illegally, nothing else matters after that.

It is a domino's effect, an illegal has to steal someone's identity to even work, thus they not only live every second of every day as a criminal and CONTINUE to break the law daily, they steal SSN's and Identities to get jobs.

They are destroying lives of people, there is no coming back from identity theft... EVER for those victims.

My fathers family immigrated from Mexico legally and I have lots of relatives who are illegals who think it is funny they are stealing identities to steal jobs, to get Medicaid, and to avoid paying taxes. They have no guilt and almost never get caught.

To me, an illegal is just as bad as a rapist, because they are raping peoples future, forever.
