How strict are immigration laws in your country compared to the USA?

This question is more for people outside the USA. I'm just curious if your county's immigration laws are just as hard as the USA

My family did my citizenship status for me because I was 9 when I became a Canadian citizen, but my understanding is, you can get in, either through family connections, wealth, lottery systems, financial investment into the country, academic and professional skills, or proof of ongoing employment after finishing university.

NZ immigration is very strict, basically only take in immigrants with skills we need i. e doctors and nurses. Won't take in anyone who requires extensive medical care

I also heard it takes like 25 years to be granted citizenship. But why you take so many Muslims and South Asians? You don't have medical schools there or Kiwis aren't smart enough.
Me and my mom were so shocked, because we thought it only had White people and Maoris. My mom was disappointed and said she doesn't wanna go there anymore

UK. Basically, if you rock up on our shores from a third world shithole, you get given citizenship without fail.

If you're white, from say the USA, it might be more difficult.

They're even bringing in a policy to pay asylum seekers £40000 to go back to their own country.

I am from the US, but whatever the liberal media might tell you the US has one of the more liberal policies towards immigrants in the world, namely in that we have birthright citizenship. We are not the only country who practices it, but most European countries don't.

@KostasKouvalis That is still a lot more conservative than in the US. Here any child born even if it is to two illegal aliens is an automatic born citizen (and often times parents who have such children are permitted to have their deportation deferred for the sake of their citizen children, they are called anchor babies).
